### 2/5 — Why save anything?

*2026-08-03*

If the whole idea is to detach from the thoughts one submits, why does the app keep a log of them? It feels like a feature that exists because it can, not because it should.

Have the courage of your convictions: save nothing at all.

**Developer response:** Hey there! Thanks for the feedback. I do see it a little differently. An important part of mindfulness is learning to observe our thoughts without getting caught up in them. And hopefully, over time, that awareness can help us better understand our own patterns...

I actually built Pixel Thoughts primarily for myself, and I often look back at my own worries to better understand what tends to occupy my mind.

That being said, I do appreciate this perspective! You've always been able to clear all thoughts and delete your data, and in v2.0 I’ve added more control so you can now hide thoughts [specifically from this feedback] or delete individual ones as well.
