It motivated me to go out for a walk and have fun with it. My mother and niece even got into it, pointing at new things to “capture” and making a game of it. I’ve also never been good at identifying weeds or knowing which ones to pull out, and I learned some info on those plants to help me identify them better and garden. Higher levels let its inhabitants grow further, and turn the discovery card itself into a shimmer at 15 and a hologram at 20. Your ranger level is the sum of it all, plus what you get up to in other rangers' worlds. There's a home-screen widget too: your own discoveries, your sanctuary behind them, and a fresh fun fact every day. We rebuilt a lot of the app around you. Profiles, species pages, discoveries and filters, and sanctuary land expansion have all been redesigned. There is also a new typeface and dark mode support!
