There are 2 dailies, a weekly, and a huge archive. The one time purchase packs are quite a bit for 20ish puzzles each. $1 would be more reasonable. The previous version (way back when) had a “+” version you could get for a one time purchase and included the entire archive. I would gladly pay about $5 to have permanent full access to even the previous 30 days of archive without limited daily “free plays”. Or a couple bucks ONE TIME to increase the daily plays to 5 or so. There are plenty of ways to get people to support a quality game like this one without a subscription. $15 a year is not unreasonable, but I do not like to support subscriptions if I can avoid it. I’d rather pay $15 for a year’s worth of previous archive that I can access and play at my own pace. **Developer response:** Have you tried purchasing Extra Plays? For $15 you could buy ~120ish extra plays to play beyond the daily free allowance, at your own pace. I try to have a menu of purchase options to try to fit with what works best for most folks, but its difficult getting it right for everyone, in a way that enables me to keep the game going (16+ years now). Adding another option to increase the daily free play limit is something I'm thinking about, thanks for the feedback. ### 2/5 — I have to pay for hints?!? *2026-03-20* I like the game, bought subscription but STILL have to buy hints. Every morning, I go for my 20 x 20 daily and I simply love it. I’m not too concerned about the time it takes. I just want to complete the puzzle without making a single mistake. Der Sinn darin erschließt sich mir nicht, da es kein hochtechnologisches Spiel ist. ### 4/5 — Missing some quality of life features *2025-02-17, version 5.9.8* My first attempt was found violating terms and conditions so this is second try: I play similar games (which must-not-be-named) on other platforms (which probably must-not-be-named as well) and comparing to them I miss 2 quality of life features. First is greying out numbers I’ve already finished marking and other one is when I start marking multiple fields in one go, it would go only in straight line and would not allow me to stray to sides. Especially for 25×25 puzzles, I must be careful when I do straight lines using mouse. Otherwise, it’s great game though. ### 5/5 — Nice Picross Alternative *2025-01-30* I’m a big fan of Picross on the Switch, but I wanted to find an alternative for iPad. Pixelogic is the best Picross-like app I’ve found, with a no-nonsense interface and lots of pixel art puzzles. There are a few features that I’d love to see added: – The ability to toggle tools by double-tapping Apple Pencil – A third tool for marking spaces temporarily (the Diamond shape in Picross) – An undo – Custom pixel color (I’d pick black) – Ghosted numbers for completed rows (the gray background alone doesn’t feel very noticeable to me) – Disable Game Center – Disable Bolts ### 5/5 — Nice Picross Alternative *2025-01-22* I’m a big fan of Picross on the Switch, but I wanted to find an alternative for iPad. Other games come and go, but this one remains my favorite. This is one of the only apps I have ever been willing to pay for the premium version of, and it has been 100% worth it. I love the clean design and user interface.
