## What is PixelPad?

PixelPad is a focused pixel art and sprite animation studio for iPad and iPhone. Draw precise pixels with Apple Pencil or touch, build frame-by-frame animations, and export assets without leaving your device.

DRAW WITH PRECISION

• Work on crisp 8×8 to 128×128 canvases
• Use Pencil, Eraser, Fill, Eyedropper, and Selection tools
• Pan and zoom without losing the pixel grid
• Undo and redo complete strokes

ANIMATE FRAME BY FRAME

• Add, duplicate, delete, and reorder frames
• Set a project frame rate or tune timing per frame
• Compare neighboring frames with color-coded onion skins
• Preview animation with the same timing used for GIF export

BUILD YOUR PALETTE

• Add, remove, and reorder colors
• Start with built-in palettes
• Save reusable custom palette presets

EXPORT GAME-READY ASSETS

• Export transparent or solid-background PNGs
• Create animated GIFs
• Arrange sprite sheets by rows and columns
• Control frame spacing and 1×, 2×, or 4× scale

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

PixelPad currently works offline, requires no account, and stores projects on your device. Export through the standard share sheet whenever you are ready.

The app starts in English. Korean is available at any time in Settings.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-02

Fixes a canvas that could render stretched after rotating the device, and adds a banner along the bottom of the drawing editor.

The canvas kept its previous drawing scaled to the new screen shape until something else redrew it. It now redraws immediately, so pixels stay square in every orientation.

The editor banner sits below the frame timeline, never covers the drawing surface, and is left out where the screen is too short to carry it.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-12

Fixes the banner introduced in 1.1.0, which could fail to appear at all.

Nothing else changes: still one banner at the top of the project gallery, no ads while you draw, animate or export, non-personalised ads only, and your artwork still never leaves your device.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-10

PixelPad is now supported by a single banner ad at the top of the project gallery. There are no ads while you draw, animate or export, and no full-screen ads anywhere.

Only non-personalised ads are requested: PixelPad shows no tracking prompt, asks for no advertising identifier for tracking, and still sends none of your artwork or projects anywhere. Everything you make stays on your device.

See the updated privacy policy at pixelpad.flikme.com/privacy for the full advertising disclosure.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-09-09
