### 3/5 — Old pics

*2026-08-31, version 2.0.0*

Pictures aren’t clear without changing person’s face.

### 3/5 — Almost there

*2026-08-11, version 2.0.0*

My issue with this app is when enhancing or de-scratching the faces, the surrounding areas stay the same. I want the entire photo from the images to the background to be clear. It doesn’t offer this which should be an obvious feature.

### 2/5 — Ok

*2026-07-24, version 2.0.0*

I got this a few years back and thought it was brilliant but in a few short years colourising apps have come along in leaps and bounds and they’re free to use!
I don’t really use it any more but I will keep it in the hope that it might be updated at some point.

### 3/5 — Eh - good for some, adds weird faces to others

*2026-07-23, version 2.0.0*

I’d say this app has 70% accuracy for improving photos. The enhancer needs a lot of work. It basically uses AI and applies random faces to people in your photo. Super weird.

### 3/5 — Promising!

*2026-07-09, version 2.0.0*

This might become the great enhancing app but it has a way to go. With old, dark, blurry or B&W photos, it often comes up with a better enhanced image. But occasionally it smooths and cartoonizes faces too much. What I believe would help it is a 0-100 dial where the effect is megged with the original. This could pull back some of the heavy smoothing and colorizing. Sometimes it distorts things like fingers or parts of faces and it’s guessing of colors in B&W photos is poor. But, I just spent an hour with it and it was a gas!!

### 3/5 — Artificial

*2026-06-22*

Altera muito a face das pessoas. Muda a cor dos olhos.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2026-06-20, version 2.0.0*

Pixelup produces an extremely detailed image compared to a lot of the other apps I’ve tried and it’s simple to use.

### 5/5 — Fun product!

*2026-06-18, version 2.0.0*

It’s fun to enhance and colorize the many old family pictures and share with relatives.

### 5/5 — Yes

*2026-06-16, version 2.0.0*

Yes

### 5/5 — Impressed

*2026-06-16, version 2.0.0*

While this may not be what I consider a professional app, I’m not a photographer looking for perfection. I just want to improve on some of my old photos and do easy editing on new ones. This did it for me! Consider me very satisfied!

### 5/5 — Best Enhancer

*2026-06-13, version 2.0.0*

Best enhancer

### 5/5 — Worth every penny! Fantastic photo scanner.

*2026-06-12, version 2.0.0*

One of the best $30 I’ve ever spent. I love that it offers a lifetime payment. The interface is super intuitive. The scanning function is brilliant for importing old physical photos directly with your phone camera, and the restoration quality is impressive. 5 stars!

### 5/5 — Show!

*2026-06-11*

Parabéns, utilizo para melhoria de fotos, e nesse quesito, sempre me agradou.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scan Photos

*2026-08-09, version 2.0.0*

You can scan photos, but it will not save them nor let you send them unless you give access to all of your photos and videos

### 1/5 — What the hell.

*2026-08-09, version 2.0.0*

A very poorly presented app with a lifetime access but no storage or saving facility, constantly asking for payment and no instruction to use the App. A very poor decision to purchase without trying.

### 1/5 — Free trial?

*2026-07-26, version 2.0.0*

Signed up for a free trial and it charged me

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2026-07-05, version 2.0.0*

STOP SPAMMING FOR REVIEWS

### 1/5 — Definitely scam this app is trash

*2026-06-20, version 2.0.0*

OK, this app is just horrible. Also, when you try to contact support, there is no email on site so you can cancel your subscription. This just screams scam.

### 1/5 — Don't waste your time

*2026-06-11, version 2.0.0*

Completely useless! I hate everything I tried to get it to do! It was a waste of time!

### 1/5 — Poor

*2026-06-08, version 2.0.0*

No good at all

### 1/5 — Autodebit

*2026-05-25, version 2.0.0*

Don’t subscribe to the free trial. It will automatically charge you and enroll you to VIP services even if you don’t have enough balance in your account. You’ll end up having to pay them cause they’ll put you on debt (lowkey scam) even if you are not using the app anymore and even you unsubscribe

### 1/5 — So. Many. Notifications.

*2026-05-16, version 2.0.0*

It won’t stop asking for ratings after every action. So I won’t stop giving one star ratings until this app ruining feature is gone.

### 1/5 — Still burry

*2026-05-12, version 2.0.0*

It’s still burry

*2026-06-29, version 2.0.0*

### 5/5 — Fantastic App!

*2026-06-22, version 2.0.0*

Pixelup is just what I’ve been searching for to restore and colorize photos of my parents back in the 40’s and 50’s Wow they look amazing and only took seconds to return a professional looking portrait that was so damaged before I could never share them with my family or post on line. Pixelup got the color right and mended tears and damage. I’m very happy with this app totally recommend, I honestly can’t wait to Pixelup more old photos!

### 5/5 — Just got the app

*2026-06-20, version 2.0.0*

As a artist I love it when I’m painting portraits.. from a small picture
