I’m currently rating the app 2 stars but if these features were in place it would be a 5 star for me. ### 2/5 — It’s a good idea. *2020-07-16, version 1.0.11* It’s a good idea BUT I live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I know there are allot of beautiful sites in the area that are commonly known by everyone here and for some reason it’s just photo spots of old houses and old furnaces lol. Not really riveting photography. Not really worth the coin. ### 3/5 — Please get a search feature *2019-09-15, version 1.0.9* The app is solid , quality photos with good locations. Only issue is you can’t use this to plan a photo vacation with this easily. There’s no place for to type in a location & view all spots in that area. ### 4/5 — Does what it says: Shoot more, search less. *2019-07-06, version 1.0.7* The app is constructed very nicely. It makes accessing locations nearby easy, using a nice map view, and has a category view where you can view places by type. I think this app, more than any other tool I’ve used, makes it easy to find good locations nearby to take pictures. The UI is also nicely designed. Other reviews are a bit misleading and not even related to the app’s function (people using reviews for pre-sales questions etc.) That said, some (minor) shortcomings of the app: - Somewhat a shortage of locations in the UK. This is understandable, considering it’s a Canadian company. Still quite a few local locations nevertheless. Cool app. Hopefully as more people use it and add content it’ll get even better. Being of limited budget I can't justify paying to gather content for somebody else. I will revisit in the future. There are only the most obvious locations listed, and I'm in Los Angeles. Same in SF and the pacific coast. Dev said, oh, but soon there will be many! That hasn't happened. Basically, this app offers you nothing for your money. Kinda pathetic. Duh-leetin' and un-subbin'. ### 1/5 — Crap app *2018-08-05, version 1.0.3* There is no password reset if you forget you password. Not very easy unsubscribe if you don’t remember password and can not reset it. ### 1/5 — Useless *2018-06-19, version 1.0.2* What a waste of time installing. Very few locations and endless zooming just to find the few that do exist. Avoid! Update: Btw, when you do find a photo at a location, that is all you get. No exact GPS data, no notes on how to find the location, no info on best time to shoot (eg sunrise or sunset) etc. Basically just a photo. You could just do a google search for images at a location and get the same content without the annoying repeated pitch zooming ### 1/5 — Paid account ONLY *2018-06-06, version 1.0.2* There is no free access. You have to pay for an account to even try it! One you’ll get hit with a forced payment method for the free trial as soon as you open the app. Although it’s stated that apple forces developers into this when it comes to subscription models, I have to doubt that considering then numerous other apps that do not but function the same. You will then also have to be lucky to have some in your area, and that’ll probably only be if you’re in main metropolitan areas. While the marketing and blogs written by the developers claim it’s to shoot “anywhere”, this truly is a tremendous undertaking and extremely ambitious. With an app with only around 20 reviews at the moment of writing this I don’t think it’s in the position where it can feasibly sustain this if it needs to be crowd sourced. If they are attempting to link it to other large information databases there’s a possibility. Very ambitious, awesome concept, however the quality of this compared to googling around your area for free and getting better results is telling. Looking forward to where it is at if it takes off later! ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2021-01-15, version 1.0.13* I kept this app for a while as I travel all over the US and look for new locations to photograph everywhere I go. Sadly, there are very few locations available on it. Every place I visited had only a few sites and most of those were old houses. I like old houses but that’s not what I need in a photo location app. I have been looking for a good app like this for a while but have not found a good one yet.
