Redeem it" on the Premium screen, or "Redeem a code" in Settings. Apple's own window for entering the code opens right inside Pixfin, and once your code unlocks Premium, you're taken straight back to where you were. This update also smooths out the moment a tank is complete. FIFTEEN REAL VARIETIES The goldfish, the betta and the guppy now each come in five real varieties, the same ones fish breeders raise: • Goldfish: Shubunkin, Sarasa, Tancho, Black Moor and Bubble Eye • Betta: Marble, Cambodian, Nemo, Butterfly and Mustard Gas • Guppy: Tuxedo, Albino, Red Koi, Japan Blue and Half Black Red When you name a new creature, pick a variety on the Color morph row. If your tank is already running, tap the round button with your creature's picture at the bottom left of the tank screen. You can choose or change a variety until that tank is finished. Every variety is free with Pixfin Premium. Without Premium, each variety you buy is for one tank. Going back to the original colors, or to a variety you already bought for that tank, is always free. The colors deepen as your creature grows, and your widget, your Apple Watch and the Gallery show them too. Each variety also has its own Encyclopedia entry: where it comes from, and what makes it different. ON THE TANK SCREEN • Your creature's name now appears at the top of the tank screen. Tap it to rename your creature or read about its species. • A bell at the top of the tank screen opens your water reminders. • Your days-active count has moved from the tank screen to the top of the Stats screen. LOGGING WATER • Logging a glass now gives a short vibration on the iPhone or Apple Watch you log it on, and a stronger one when your creature reaches a new growth stage. • There is now a ten-second pause between one glass and the next. Every button for logging water shows a countdown, and a short encouraging message appears under the water bar. • Deleting a glass you logged by mistake lowers the water bar, but never takes your creature back to an earlier stage. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE • When you start a tank, each theme and scene now shows the color of water it gives your tank, and the Continue button stays on screen. • In the Amazon River theme's River Storm scene, the wind now slants the rain, the surface shimmers where the drops land, and lightning lights up the water from above. With sound on, thunder follows each flash. • Settings now has a What's New row listing what Pixfin's updates have added and fixed. • A Website row in Settings opens the Pixfin site in your language, without leaving the app. FIXES • If you turn Steps on in the Health app and then return to Pixfin, it now notices right away instead of only after a restart. • Pixfin could say it wasn't getting your steps even with Steps turned on in Health. This happened when Pixfin ran in the background while your iPhone was locked, since Health data can't be read then. It now checks again after you unlock your iPhone. • With VoiceOver, you can now open your creature's details by selecting its name.
