Pixie makes it so easy. I have a food board and have several lists saved like dinner ideas, grocery lists, dinners for the week, etc. I have another board for “to do”, etc. So easy to find all my notes that are saved under each subheading. I thought this would be a great way to get digitally organized. Not even a month into having it there was some kind of error and not only am I not able to see any of the pictures or downloads I had in it but it won’t let me do anything. Really disappointed. Thank you for wanting to use Pixie! ### 2/5 — No functioning calendar *2024-01-14* The rudimentary aspects of running a family life are missing. No functioning calendar! No way to add a legitimate schedule (adding a schedule as a note that you have to open on some board is not functional in my opinion). If I go to a specific day to add an event, there’s no way to add a TIME of the event. Puzzling for sure. No reminders, no way to add a recurring event. Pretty bugged I had to pay money just to find out the app didn’t work as an actual calendar. **Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for the feedback! The first version of Calendar, released just last week, is specifically meant for connecting existing Apple Calendars. If you use Apple Calendar, you can view all your events in Pixie alongside your Daily Notes. In future versions, we plan to introduce many things you mentioned, including creating calendars and events directly in Pixie. We are grateful for your patience as we continue to add more features! Thanks for making Pixie better. ### 3/5 — Great when it works *2024-05-20* When the app is working my wife and I use it a lot and it’s really helpful to coordinate everything across the family. We primarily use it for grocery lists, keeping track of things we need to do around the house, and recipes, but it’s helpful beyond that too. Our biggest issue is that it often doesn’t save the changes you make, which makes the app useless. For instance, if I update the grocery list but it doesn’t save, then if my wife looks at it she doesn’t see what I tried to put on. This has happened for both of us often enough where she doesn’t trust that the lists will be accurate, and she now doesn’t like to use the app at all. I’ve noticed if I delete the app and redownload it helps, but you shouldn’t need to do that so much. The app also often doesn’t allow for adding links. So it working well is hit or miss. When it works, it’s great, but the bugs are enough to make some people feel like it’s useless and not trustworthy. **Developer response:** Hi Mtlpanfl, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Then about a week ago I got an error “Unauthorized GraphQL request” I’ve updated the app, deleted, reinstalled and the error still remains. Unable to upload anything to app anymore. I purchased the premium version so I could have my child on it and we can stay on top of the daily chores. But it doesn’t seem like there’s a way to have my husband on there as well unless I’m doing something wrong? If he purchases the premium, can he connect to ours? I’ve reached out to support but I haven’t received a reply… ### 4/5 — Amazing app for organization! *2024-03-06* I’ve been looking for a better way to stay organized and so far this app has helped me tremendously! I love that I’m able to create boards for all areas of my life. One thing I would like to suggest as an improvement would be the ability to pin an image or change the cover image of a link. Right now added board links just show a preview of the website’s logo, however, I’d love to be able to preview a saved link right on my board. I think this would help simplify board navigation and allows users to plan/organize even better. The problem is I noticed the app is completely shutting down on December 1st and Every time I try to login using the google or apple option I get “Error- User validation failed: lastName: Path 'lastName is required.” And there’s no other way for me to log in because I got a new number so my email would be the only other way. I have boards for all of the things in our lives: school, home, projects, cars, etc…. I love being able to write to-do lists as soon as I think of something. The to-do lists allow each of us to create what we need to get done and then check them off! Takes huge pressure off of each of us and now no one is nagging or being bothered. Love how easy it is upload information for a later use and share it if needed. Especially when having a new babysitter for our kids, it’s seamless and easy to share the kids schedules. Also I use Jessica’s recipes on a weekly basis. Initially I was hoping Jessica would also release a hard copy of her recipes, however I find that I now search Pixie WAY more often than my previous cookbooks. I’m constantly pulling up Pixie at the grocery store and finding the ingredients I need for another stellar dish. If you’re on the fence about getting Pixie, I’m here to tell you DO IT. I started using pixie a while ago as a replacement for my Notes app. I’ve loved all of the new features that they’re continuously adding to make it better. My new favorite feature is the recipes section. I use it all the time!
