Often times an entire piece will just not save causing you to lose hours of progress, this is so bad I’m at the point I’d rather just go buy an app that actually functions, not to mention how laggy this is, the poor ui, the problem with palettes, I could only recommend this to someone who wants to spend no money at all, and I’ve been using this app for 4 years. ### 2/5 — Bug in community section *2026-07-04, version 1.9.2* There is a bug where I can’t see peoples comments in the community section of this application. It’s ads are incredibly laggy if you don’t have some really well running device, it’s very buggy when drawing, often times deleting an entire layer somehow, and on mobile it’s more of a social media platform than a drawing app. I’m genuinely disappointed to go to leave Pixilart cause I have a lot of stuff here but it just deleted 3 hours worth of work, I can’t recover it, and I’ve had it. I’d recommend ANY other pixel-art/drawing app than this. ### 1/5 — What the hell is this app *2026-02-08, version 1.6.7* I’ve tried using this app on multiple occasions and it keeps deleting my work. This can get incredibly frustrating. I know it has a save feature but it will only save what you last saved so if you draw anything new and the app refreshes all of your new work is gone. The app and the website also have a totally different layout for drawing which is confusing. I hope they fix the saving function and find a way to save your progress activity as you are drawing otherwise this would have been a fun app. ### 1/5 — Lost artwork *2025-11-01, version 1.6.7* This app is pretty but not as intuitive as the website. THIS APP DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY SAVE YOUR WORK! If you hit the arrow to go back at any point you will lose everything! Very heart breaking when I was almost done with a project TWICE and lost hours of work.
