## What is Pixntel?

Pixntel helps you pull text out of screenshots and images, understand what’s in them, and act on it—without sending your images to a cloud model for the built-in AI features.

OCR that works for real screenshots
Uses Apple’s Vision framework for accurate text recognition, with image preprocessing tuned for tricky captures and a Tesseract fallback when confidence is low—so receipts, slides, and dense screenshots are easier to turn into editable text.

Review capture date and location metadata when it’s available, so you remember when and where a shot was taken.

Zoom and mark up
Pinch and pan to read fine print, then highlight, box, or circle what matters so exports and notes are clearer.

On-device intelligence (Gemma 3N)
Download the model once; it runs entirely on your device. From extracted text or the image itself you can:
• Extract books (with optional links to search for titles)
• Extract locations (places and addresses)
• Extract people (names mentioned)
• Chat about the image or the text you extracted

You can also edit the default prompts so extractions match how you work.
