## What is PixSort?

PixSort is a private, on‑device organiser for your photos and videos. Import from Apple Photos into your own tidy, deduplicated library — then clear out the clutter by filing everything into albums, just like clearing an email inbox.

Your privacy is the whole point. PixSort only ever READS your Apple Photos library — it never deletes, moves, or changes a single thing there. And nothing ever leaves your device: no servers, no accounts, no uploads. Every bit of AI runs on‑device.

WHY PIXSORT
• Apple Photos stays your safe backup — PixSort is your organised, private copy.
• A real "Inbox" to zero out: file photos into albums until it's empty.
• On‑device AI that never sends your photos anywhere.

ORGANISE FAST
• Import photos, videos and Live Photos at original or space‑saving resolution.
• Inbox‑first workflow: file into albums to clear the clutter.
• Add a photo to several albums with no duplicate copies.
• Tag people, places and things; favourite with a tap.
• Swipe to multi‑select with edge auto‑scroll.

FIND ANYTHING (ON‑DEVICE AI)
• Search in plain English — "beach 2023", "receipts", a person's name.
• Automatic on‑device labelling of scenes, objects and text — nothing uploaded.
• Find visually similar duplicates and clean them up.

KEEP IT PRIVATE
• Hide albums behind a passcode — they vanish from the app until you unlock.
• 100% on‑device. No account, no cloud, no tracking.

EXPORT — LOSSLESS
• Save to Files: iCloud Drive, a USB/external drive, or any provider (Google Drive, Dropbox…).
• Share via AirDrop, Messages and Mail.
• Original quality with full metadata (EXIF/GPS/dates). Live Photos export both parts and re‑link if re‑imported to Apple Photos.
• Choose to keep your album structure or export into a single folder.

GOOD TO KNOW
Because PixSort keeps its own copies, imported media uses extra space on your device or iCloud. Your Apple Photos originals are always untouched — delete them there yourself only when you're comfortable.

No sign‑up. No ads. No data collection. Your photos stay yours.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-07-22

A warmer welcome for new users, plus refinements throughout.

• A quick guided intro the first time you open PixSort, so the private-by-design workflow is clear from the start.
• Polish and small fixes.

As always, PixSort only ever reads your Apple Photos library — your originals are never changed.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-17

Import straight into an album
Open one of your albums, tap ⋯ → Import Photos, and what you pick from Apple Photos lands right in that album — no more importing to the Inbox and filing as a second step. (Importing to the Inbox still works exactly as before.)

Clearer removing vs deleting
In an album you can now choose "Remove from this Album" — the photo leaves that album but stays in any others it's in. "Delete from All Albums" removes PixSort's copy everywhere and frees up the space. As always, your Apple Photos originals are never touched.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-09
