### 1.9 — 2026-08-26

New

- "Keen Eye", a new high-end item. Use it and the world slows to a quarter speed for three seconds - save it for a tricky jump, or for when enemies close in. Each level adds one more use per run.
- A new Combo category in the ranking.
- You can now register a name. Once registered, your score is saved without typing it in each time. Registering is entirely optional.
- The controller guide is now its own illustrated page (Settings > Controller).

Changes

- In boss fights the camera no longer rises so far that the boss's feet leave the screen.
- Reordering items with a controller could show the same message twice.

### 1.8.1 — 2026-08-25

Fixes

- With a controller connected, the login bonus shown right after launch could not be claimed, and input reached the screen behind the dialog.
- Dropping through a platform and then bouncing off an enemy could leave you unable to land on any platform.
- "Watch ad" could leave you waiting with no response. It now falls back immediately and shows a loading indicator.
- The shop list skipped "Egg Exchange" and jumped straight to "Back".

Changes

- Tuned late-game gap widths and enemy counts for top players.
- The camera now follows you upward on the surface too, so it is easier to see above high platforms.
- Reorder your items with a controller (hold X to grab, then L/R to swap).

### 1.8 — 2026-08-22

* Play with a controller
A connected gamepad now takes you all the way through. Move and jump, use an item (Square), unleash the special move "Piyo Flash" (Triangle), switch items (L1 / R1), and navigate menus and shops - all from the pad. The full layout is in Settings > Controller.

* A fifth underground stage: "The Blazing Stairway"
A new depth that splits into three routes. Take the beams above, cross the sea of lava on moving platforms in the middle, or fight through the crowded kiln floor below. The route you pick changes the challenge.

* Underground Mode now has 5 stages
The new stage joins the time-trial Underground Mode as well.

Plus small refinements, including sound effects for cursor movement.

### 1.7.4 — 2026-08-21

Changes
- Reviving with the Revival Feather now restores 2 life instead of 1, matching the Revival Potion.

Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where regular enemies could appear during the WARNING that plays just before a boss.
- Fixed an issue where the item slots stayed hidden for a while after clearing an UNDERGROUND stage and returning to the surface.
