A lot of the features have been behind a paywall which I fully understand as a business. It turns out however that a lot of the basic features have now been put behind the same paywall so very basic features now require a monthly subscription. Great way to treat your long time users PiZap. ### 1/5 — Use to Love *2026-04-30, version 21.1* I paid for an all time access w/out your watermark. Now your watermark is going over my Trade mark on my photos. I paid for it & now it’s not working. Guess I need to find another app. Oh by the way—if you go look at my account you will see tons of my work going back for years using this app. It was one of the few apps I could use & keep in touch with the world as a disabled person. It really upsets me that suddenly your app is not recognizing my account., ### 1/5 — Remove the last update! *2026-04-23, version 21.1* This was a brilliant, easy to use app. Since the recent update it constantly crashes when trying to select Background Eraser/Cutouts etc. The old Background Eraser was so simple to use - why change a good thing? I’ve been using PiZap for 10 years and never have I ever saved a photo or more without being asked to pay and now because of that new update of yours, I’m being asked to pay after I cutout an image or more and after I saved an image or more?! What the heck! This morning I was about to make something but when I was about to cut out an image, there was a notification saying that I have to pay?! No! Screw that! Now I can’t make images for my instagram account anymore!💔 I miss the old previous update so you should think about bringing the old update back! This new update is ridiculous because I know you’re just asking for money! The integration of useless AI tools and previously free features needing a subscription has made this app unusable. Save your time and money, find a better app than this one. Deleted. ### 1/5 — Not the best anymore *2026-09-03, version 21.8* Long time ago the app was free when I first used it even linking it with facebook account to I did some cut outs edits and everything on photos and also had my projects saved on piZap and facebook now that you have to pay for not only having unlimited space to save projects you also have to pay premium for different frames stickers etc and this app was the best thing to have and I can’t save my projects anymore I have to either delete my projects or find somewhere else to do some editing for free on videos pics you name it and I wouldn’t recommend this app anymore cause I don’t want to waste money on it ### 1/5 — Good bye Pi Zap! *2026-07-10, version 21.4* Did enjoy using the free photo editor over recent few years . But since their “massive update”, they’ve taken away the best free features and you have to pay £79.99 annual for pro to be able to even manually cut out the image you want to add to another image. I am getting tired of this app period. ### 1/5 — piZap Got Greedy *2026-06-23* piZap used to be my go to editing app because it was free, easy to use, and had a lot of features. For years I had no problems with this app and actually recommended it to people, but lately it seems that they've just gotten greedy to the point of rendering the app completely unusable unless you pay money. You now have to buy premium if you want to manually cut out parts of a photo (previously, only the auto cut-out feature needed premium). Along with this, you now have to buy premium if you want to have more than 10 projects (just a couple weeks ago, you had unlimited projects). You need to pay money to use the most basic stickers known to man, and it's just such a deterrent to doing anything on the app. It's just a shame to see such a good app get completely ruined over time. As much as I've loved this app, as much as I've used it over the years, I now have to find a new one to edit photos on. If you are considering getting this app because it's free, don't. And if you already have the app, I hope you can find a better alternative. ### 1/5 — Very disappointed *2026-06-19, version 21.3* I used this app/website for YEARS now and I loved it dearly, but I just can’t recommend it anymore! So much stuff is locked behind a paywall now and I understand the need to make money, but cutouts have been for free users for AGES and I used it all the time! But now it’s locked behind premium? Are you kidding me?? 🤦👎 ### 1/5 — 7 Day Trial is a SCAM *2026-06-01, version 21.1* The 7 day “free” trial is not free. They charge you the full subscription fee. There is NO free trial offered. They will then start calling you from your “bank” alerting you to potential fraud. I called my actual bank number and confirmed all of this with them. This is a giant fraud scheme.
