And there’s an ad after EVERY level. Plus, some of the puzzles do not have unique solutions. I love the Penny Press version of this puzzle and am sad this app couldn’t get close. ### 2/5 — More erasers *2025-07-15, version 2.3* This is a fun game and can be challenging, however, it could use more chances to earn erasers like after playing the daily challenges. Also I noticed that when I watch an ad to get double rewards, I don’t get the rewards and then have to watch another ad to get to the next game. Please fix this. Help ### 1/5 — Forced to download games *2023-05-30* This app helped me pass time for few games, then the Ads started increasing. Not only did the Ads increase, but the “X” to get out of the Ad and resume playing would not work. The Ad is clearly still moving, proving my phone wasn’t frozen. The only way I could resume my previous game was to download the game it was advertising. I kept closing the app hoping it’d bring me back to previous progress but instead it made me restart my game. I played the SAME GAME FOUR TIMES and this happened before the last two words EVERY SINGLE TIME. That was 4 months ago so the devs obviously didn’t listen to the suggestion despite saying they would. I deleted this game after three puzzles because I got a 50 second ad after reach level 😡👎. Annoying as crap. Love game but it’s sad they ruin with constant ads. ### 4/5 — Solid game *2023-05-19* Places Please is one of my favorite pennydell puzzles, so I was delighted to find this. The only change I would really want would be for you to be able to write in letters. Not sure if you can get more just by watching an ad or you have to pay. Regardless, it’s very annoying. The main and most annoying part, all the ads. It really kills the fun of everything. You get a pop up saying “Your support helps us run this project!!”. Then you get an option to either pay to remove ads (cost 5.99) or to watch the ad. The ads are skippable, but it’s the fact that I’d only been playing for a few minutes and this popped up sooo many times. A lot of stuff in there they sell for money, like the erasers and hints. I understand that you need the money, but if you want people to actually play your game you need to minimize the amount of ads. Lots of people watching skippable/few ads will be way more than the few people willing to either sit through it, or pay like 6 dollars to remove all of it. Nevertheless I am constantly getting adds. Moreover, the words in this game are for the most part not real English words. If that wasn’t enough, you can’t see all of the words at once (just the ones starting with one letter), so you have to make guesses . You can’t make educated guesses, because the other words aren’t likely to be real words. Then you have to erase. However they only give you 10 erases and then you have to pay $10 for a few more erasers, otherwise the game is completely stopped and you can’t continue. I’ll never even look at any games by this developer again. Apple should investigate for fraud, since they collect your money for removing adds, but don’t remove them. In answer to developer’s response, I contacted the support team before writing my review. They told me that the remove ads button, which said “ remove all ads for $5.99” only removed some ads. Thus, my indication that this developer is using Apple as a vehicle to commit consumer fraud. I love the idea and format but I feel that I’m being bullied into paying for the game without ads just to be able to play. The ad frequency is going to make me delete this game. The developer doesn’t even care that they are driving players away. Read through the comments. People have been complaining about the frequency of ads for months and the developer just blows it off and suggests to purchase the game. Then there are reviews where the game was purchased and people were still getting ads. You hit start, immediately an Ad, then there are 2-3 Ads during the game and then as soon as you finish it there’s another ad that you have to watch before proceeding to the main menu.
