The Touchtronic Place Value Fish app can be used for classroom or home use. When placing a number on the column, a narration for the total number is activated. Furthermore, visual representations of place value: fish, beads (abacus) and blocks (base ten) are shown. Recommended Ages: 3-7 Touchtronic Place Value Fish is designed to work with Touchtronic Numbers, a set of 16 numbers and equations built with Touchtronic Technology so that they interact with the iPad. The correct way to pronounce a number such as 214 is "two hundred fourteen" not " two hundred AND fourteen." The word "and" is used to identify the placement of a decimal. This will be very confusing/misleading for students and makes this portion of the app unusable in the classroom.
