App wouldn’t let me move forward without providing my ethnicity. Not sure how the developers thought this was a good idea but the law in the UK does not require this information, and it’s illegal to discriminate based on this, however having to provide the information allows employers to do so. Additionally, I have emailed customer support several times now to delete my profile and have had no response, and there’s no other way to do it. I’m constantly being emailed about companies messaging me but can’t get customer service to respond to me. Still seeing jobs with experience needed in the employers job description. So far I’m not impressed with this app. I doubt I will ever get work with it. Time shown looks like it is 5am in the morning, as an exmple. Interviews cancel automatically even when accepted. Candidates show up and are the same confused. It would be great to be able to see everything about a candidtae in one place rathen than jumping through INTERVIEW/MESSAGES/APPLICANTS sections constantly NEEDS PLENTY OF WORK! ### 1/5 — Pretty poorly managed platform *2019-10-11, version 1.4.3* The good reviews sound too nice to be true. I suspect Placed HQ encouraged employees to write in. Placed Support has never replied to an email I’ve sent. I’ve applied to numerous jobs with a filled out profile and received zero responses- either way! The least they could do is update candidates so there’s no risk of double booking. That would be a waste of everyone’s time. ### 1/5 — IMPOSSIBLE RECIVE MESSAGES NOTIFICTIONS *2019-02-03, version 1.4.1* My experience with this app was good until I don’t recived a message for an interview the next day. I have all notifications on so is impossible that I don’t recive messages... is an app problem. This is happened at all my friends that used this app so it’s not my device only. (IPHONE 8) ### 2/5 — Is it an Hospitality Recruitment tool only? *2022-05-31, version 1.8.1* I have downloaded the app as was advertised on several articles as an hassle-free way to connect with relevant job opportunities. Filled in all the industries, roles, values and salary expectations and preferences and started browsing an infinite list of bar/waiter/chef jobs despite none made sense against my settings/background. I don’t see the point of asking candidates to set criteria if none can be met. Not to mention the ‘upskilling’ tool which leads to totally unrelated vacancies (management skills = bar staff, team member roles). I will proceed contacting the app and requesting my data to be permanently erased. Could be useful if you are a recruiter and sourcing for base roles in a big restaurant/pub chains. Definitely no other purposes, and the only filter you can apply is distance: once again useless if you’re browsing for remote or hybrid roles.
