Both the text and the subtitle timing are now on par with Japanese or English. ■ Search and text export for subtitle files Open a subtitle file (.srt) and tap the magnifier to search it. Matches are highlighted, and the up/down buttons step through them. Tap the document icon to create a plain text file containing just the dialogue, without timestamps — the original subtitle file is left untouched. The text file you create is searchable too. ■ Shutter sound on/off You can now turn the photo shutter sound off in the camera screen (it stays on by default). Everything runs on your device — the audio is never sent anywhere. Japanese and English are supported. The subtitle file is saved alongside the original file (or in My Files when that location isn't writable). On iOS 26 and later, transcription uses the same high-accuracy recognition as Voice Memos (a language model is downloaded on first use). ■ Subtitles When a video or audio file has a subtitle file (.srt) next to it, it plays with subtitles.
