## What is Plague Lord?

Every zombie game puts you against the horde. This one puts you in charge of it.

Plague Lord is a one-handed portrait pixel strategy game. You play the will of a zombie plague: starting from a single scream in a single city block, you spread the horde square by square until the last light goes out.

The city fights back. The military throws up barricades, sends patrols to purge street by street, and calls in flame cleansing and helicopter strikes. Meanwhile the labs never stop working on a vaccine — let that bar fill and you lose. So every move is a trade: devour the dense residential blocks for genes, or take the long way around to tear down the hospitals and labs slowing that timer?

The real payoff is the Horde King. Evolve him, then drag a route across the streets and watch him lead the swarm through it in person — flattening barricades, scattering patrols, ripping a hole straight through the military line.
