Crochet patterns are often filled with abbreviations and shorthand that can be difficult to follow. PlainStitch translates crochet patterns into clear, easy-to-read instructions so you can spend more time creating and less time decoding.

How It Works

Import a crochet pattern as a PDF, photo, or pasted text. PlainStitch analyzes the pattern, expands the designer’s abbreviations using the included abbreviation key, and rewrites each row or round into plain English while preserving the original instructions.
