Plainview is Instagram with your friends front and center, and without the machinery that competes for your attention. No Reels, no Explore, no algorithm trying to keep you scrolling.

Sign in with your own Instagram account, on Instagram's real login page, and get an intentional version of the service you already use.

HOW IT WORKS

Plainview loads instagram.com and applies local filters on your device with nothing sitting between you and Instagram. Your credentials go directly to Instagram, never to us. Plainview collects no data. Requires an existing Instagram account.

WHAT'S MISSING

Reels and Explore are gone by design. Notifications aren't supported yet, and in-app posting is limited to Instagram's basic web tools (see plainviewsocial.com/faq for what's different and the setup we recommend).

Check in, see your friends' posts and stories, answer your messages, and close the app. That's the point.
