It doesn’t confirm my email address, I can’t transfer my grocery list to any other apps, I can’t share my list with my partner (it won’t let me cause it doesn’t recognize my email), and it misses some of the recipe items on the grocery list (I had bean quesadillas on my meal plan but the red kidney beans were not added to the grocery list). I also have to double check the names of many of the items on the menu because we say it differently in Canada vs Australia. I really wanted this to work. If they spend more time updating the app I will happily return to it. ### 2/5 — It was great, but zero support once it failed *2024-03-24, version 2.4.10* I used it regularly as my sole meal planning tool for five years. Then all of the recipes that came with the app disappeared (the recipes I entered are still there). My attempts at contact for tech support went unanswered. Really disappointing for a paid app that is still active. ### 2/5 — Disconnect with book & Like the calendar function. *2023-08-09, version 2.4.10* I was expecting to find all the recipes in the companion book I bought ‘The Ultimate Meal Prep Cookbook’ in the app. Sadly I need to carry the book around the supermarket as there is seemingly no cross over. This could be easily fixed without changing a line of code. If one day recipes from book are also in the app I’d really like to be able to load whole ‘week plans’ from the book into the app. I do like the calendar function in the app - adding chosen recipes automatically. Now off to share my calendar with family. ### 3/5 — Needs some tweaks... then amazing *2021-03-30, version 2.4.8* I really love the book and app... but for the app to really be useful I would love to be able to photograph my existing family recipes rather than typing them in (knowing that this would not allow them to be scaled up) Not crash every time I try and upload a screenshot Allow you to create a pantry staples list and add to your shopping list. ### 2/5 — App crashes *2021-01-15, version 2.4.8* Great idea and love the book. App constantly crashes and is practically unusable. Would love the issues to be sorted. ### 2/5 — Fantastic idea *2020-07-10, version 2.4.6* I came to this app from the ‘Plan Buy Cook’ book! Fantastic book, I recommend it to everyone looking for great recipes and phenomenal management of dinners each night! However, it recommended this app and unfortunately it just does not seem to work and crashes constantly! Which is a bummer as this would be so helpful! Fingers crossed an update promptly fixes the issues being run into by so many!! 😁 ### 3/5 — Good App but needs further work *2020-03-20, version 2.4.3* I just purchased the App after the getting the book. I was hoping the App would have a ‘Food bank’ list you could add food bank items too. This would also keep track of what meals are in my freezer, what options there are and if I need to ‘top up’ my food banked items at any stage. Can you please add this feature?? Please fix can’t use if It crashes. ### 2/5 — Pretty but some limitations on functions causing frustrations *2018-04-21, version 2.3.4* Starting to use this app for meal planning Initially buy function was working - not crashing out of app when touch the “buy” tab. Very frustrating. Have spent many hours trying to set up meal planning with the app, think I might now abandon it. Attractive interface but some practical limitations that the developers might be able to look at: - don’t seem to be able to share my entries or plans with my partner which significantly limits the usefulness of the app - Should be able to enter more than 3 “meals” a day; veggies take one entry, desserts another, this doesn’t allow for planning to make bulk meals on weekends. - Recipes should be crowd sourced. They are time consuming to enter, if I knew that I was contributing to others and benefiting from theirs that would be a sweetener on the time. Developers could have a review function without taking responsibility for the recipes. - Should have an option between the images of the recipes and a list. The pictures are good if you are browsing but if there are a lot of recipes it’s tedious to scroll to find the one you want without using the search function. - cost function on the shopping list would be a fantastic further development, as would the ability to import the shopping list into an online supermarket shop. - should be able to print the shopping list directly from the app without emailing it ### 4/5 — Great app - but needs a few updates *2018-04-20, version 2.3.4* I really enjoy this app and have really only just started using it. It’s already saved me time and money. But i was wondering if this app will be able to sync across my devices soon? It syncs some of my meals in my planner across but not all...like the recipes I entered myself on my iPad doesn’t go across to my iPhone. The ability for the shopping list to sync across would be great too - I know I can share it, but syncing happens without thinking. Once the app 100% syncs across it would be wonderful and even more user friendly ### 2/5 — Needs improvement *2018-03-23, version 2.3.4* I’m a big fan of the app and so far it’s saved me a lot of time and money. Although the bugs seriously need to be fixed! The app crashes all the time and once your phone locks you lose the recipe that you were on and have to load it up again. At the moment I can even access the app because it’s crashing. I was planning on making Meatballs for dinner and now that plan is completely scrapped. ### 1/5 — Poor *2018-02-04, version 2.3.3* This app was given air time on TV. Waste of $6. Should have been free til they got it worth something. Not nearly enough variety in the recipes, one hopes there might be some updates. Need to use iPad for planning for larger screen and then doesn’t sync to phone for shopping. ### 2/5 — Could do with more work *2018-01-26, version 2.3.2* This app has potential but it needs more work and bug fixes. I would like to see it sync over a cloud so you can share the receipts over multiple devices. Inputting recipes should be a lot easier, at the moment the choosing an ingredient on the iPad app is frustrating, plus for some reason as I’m entering the method the lettering comes up bold when I didn’t request it to be, infact it doesn’t give you that option so it stumps me at how it does. I would like to see importing a recipe from a pdf (for example). Felt a little ripped of that you pay money for about 15 recipes, I get more from free apps. Could not add the one recipe to my planner or ingredients from that recipe onto the shopping list. I’ve updated and even changed phones but still no joy.
