## What is Plane Overhead?

See nearby aircraft at a glance, identify the flight directly above you, and tap any plane to explore its route, airline, altitude, speed, direction, aircraft type, registration, and more.

Features include:
• Live map of nearby aircraft
• At-a-glance identification of what’s overhead
• Flight routes with origin and destination airports
• Detailed altitude, speed, bearing, elevation, and climb or descent data
• Airline logos and aircraft information
• Favorites for airlines, manufacturers, aircraft types, operators, and individual aircraft
• Filters for different flight categories or favorites only
• Customizable search radius, map labels, appearance, and units
• Optional alerts when aircraft pass overhead
• Apple Watch support for checking the sky from your wrist

Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast, a curious traveler, or simply wondering about that plane above you, Overhead makes discovering nearby flights effortless.

Aircraft and route information depends on available third-party data and may occasionally be incomplete or delayed. Background alerts are best-effort because iOS controls when apps may refresh in the background.
