### 5/5 — Excellent Net Worth Projector

*2016-04-21, version 1.09*

Provides an easy way to project net worth for any number of years. You can project values of assets alone or enter income and expense items for more realistic results. It can also be helpful with retirement planning.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2016-01-20, version 1.08*

Great app!!
My appreciation comes from a course I took in financial planning last year. We had to use 3 different programs and Excel spreadsheets to create financial profiles and analyze them from different perspectives. I wish I had known of this app then.
It seems to do all that in a single integrated app. It provides a wholesome platform for all necessary input along with the calculations needed for overall integration and provides results in a variety of formats.
All functions are done well. The analysis it performs is nothing less than amazing. The financial statements it produces are dynamic and eloquent in presentation. It is nice to have full planning ability on my iPhone that can be used as and when needed.

### 5/5 — Superb!

*2015-12-04, version 1.07*

Very good app for financial planning. Quite comprehensive and well designed for the screen size. Well done reports, especially the graphs and charts that provide excellent quick views of the plan from different perspectives.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2015-11-19, version 1.06*

Outstanding app for serious financial planning. I have been using it for a week now. Good so far. Don’t bother with it if you are looking for budgeting or check balancing capabilities. This app has a slight learning curve but after that it provides you with a powerful planning platform. The values projected in future could get overwhelming but since you are providing the data they are easy to understand. There is no better program I know that offers the comprehensiveness or ease of what-if analysis that this app provides.

### 5/5 — Very good

*2015-11-02, version 1.06*

Well suited for financial forecasting and modeling. It got better with use after I discovered additional features like customizable titles for data and more that are not as obvious when you start with the app initially. Good find.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2015-10-30, version 1.06*

Very good for preparing a full financial picture and forecasting it in future. Results could be very revealing. It covers almost all kinds if income, expenses, assets, investments and insurance. Well designed and easy to work with.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2015-08-22, version 1.04*

I am getting used to this wonderful financial planner. This is simple and powerful app for planning at the macro level with annual values for income, expense and net worth items. Once you have the data entered it is easy to analyze what-ifs related to cash flow , retirement and life insurance. I am getting used this wonderful financial planner. ### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2015-08-09, version 1.02*

I got this app for reviewing my need for life insurance. It was fairly easy to analyze and quantify it under different circumstances and expand into money matters.
If you need to figure out money profile in 5,10,15 years or more then this app is for you. Great free app.

### 5/5 — Excellent planner

*2015-07-23, version 1.02*

It is comprehensive and covers a wide variety of financial items. I was surprised to find many advanced assets like 401k plans, variable annuities, reverse mortgages etc. in addition to the common income, expense and portfolio items in a mobile app. Overall design is quite simple to get started and navigation between data and reports gets easier as you get the hang of it.

Planmode uses dynamic cash management in projecting future years. It took me some time to grasp the concept and realize its usefulness in adding realism to projected years. A full-screen review of the cashflow statement helped in reviewing how cash was invested in years of surplus cash and liquidated in later years when there is not enough income to meet the expenses. Income tax computations are automatic which it allows you to tweak further.

The app provides decent basic needs analysis for retirement, death and disability scenarios. It is a type of app that gets better with your use. I am a numbers person and it serves me very well.

If you are serious about long term financial planning this app is definitely worth exploring. This is the best app I have found so far.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Looks good, but....

*2017-11-01, version 1.11*

It’s not very useful, when the app gets stuck on the number screen every time i’ve used it. Even tried downloading the app again to no avail.

### 1/5 — Dinosaurs

*2016-03-13, version 1.09*

First screen asks if married. Then titles the columns husband and wife. No way to import data everything must be typed in. No more than a spreadsheet with a GUI.

### 2/5 — PLEASE FIX IPAD VIEW

*2019-01-08, version 1.18*

The app doesn’t change orientation. I prefer working with a horizontal orientation vice a vertical orientation on my iPad Pro.

### 2/5 — Pretty weak interface

*2015-09-12, version 1.04*

The app will only run in vertical mode on my iPad which is very inconvenient - doesn't allow me to use my logitech keyboard.

Tried setting the plan timeline to 30 years, but it didn't take (tried doing it in multiple places, too).

There was no way to rename accounts (just Checking, Checking 2, ...) and very limited options for managing financial inputs.

I'm giving up on this app. Will try to find another. Sounded good, but didn't pan out.

Maybe I'll end up getting Excel/Numbers on my iPad and managing any planning/options via a spreadsheet, as I used to a few years ago.

### 3/5 — Good app, not sure it’s worth $20 per year

*2020-09-03, version 1.21*

The one limitation I found odd in this app was that it ask if you have dependents, but didn’t ask the ages.

### 3/5 — Needs a little help

*2018-02-16, version 1.13*

There are only 2 options for tax portion of their planning...married or single. No options for head of household. With so many divorced households in that category, you would think they would include that. Basic software, but helpful.

### 4/5 — A decent app for overall picture of financial plan

*2019-11-03, version 1.19*

Would be better if it provides ability to set expiration of certain expenses, for example kid’s college expenses.

### 5/5 — Good Planning App

*2025-05-24, version 7.2*

I’ve been using this App for the past 2 years as a planning tool for different scenarios which is helpful. Recommend trying it out.

### 5/5 — A great quick tool

*2020-11-18, version 1.21*

Fast and to the point. Nice to have on your phone.

### 5/5 — Unbelievable!

*2019-07-20, version 1.18*

What a great app! Does 95% of what I want it to do. reports are super and so is functionality. Inputs could be expanded a git to simply allow for additional fields to input groups of stocks, bonds, and retirement funds. Otherwise the app is very well laid out.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2017-10-10, version 1.11*

Great app for financial planning. Simple to use. Nice reports.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2017-10-09, version 1.11*

PlanMode delivers a solid financial planning tool. It looked simplistic initially but as I started to enter information and so how comprehensively it incorporated my data in the long term profile I got deeper into it.
The more I used it the more motivated I got in exploring further with details.
It has some of the simplest and most simplest and most meaningful presentations I have seen in a financial planning app.
A number of built in capabilities like automatic cash management seem to provide more realistic feel for the projected values for future years.
It has all essential reports that are self formatting based on data entered. capital needs analysis reports are simple and can also be very revealing.
Stick with it, it's a valuable app and done very well. Great app.

### 5/5 — Great Planning Tool

*2017-10-06, version 1.11*

When I visit clients many times they want to know where they stand financially. I open up this app and can easily show them their current worth and projected worth. As with all clients they will ask “what if...”. The is app is so easy to enter information I can put in what my client wants right then and there and show them the results. This app is a must have for any financial planner.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2017-10-06, version 1.11*

Great app for preparing a comprehensive profile and long term financial planning.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2017-10-05, version 1.11*

Great app for comprehensive financial planning. It provides good long term projection capabilities and generates excellent financial reports that can be emailed and printed. Excellent.

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2016-05-30, version 1.10*

Quite comprehensive yet simple to use

### 5/5 — Very good long term planner

*2016-04-22, version 1.09*

Data input process is slow and could take several minutes if you are making detailed entries one at a time. It recomputes after each entry. Other than that this is a terrific app. It does a good job for planning and can accommodate long time periods. It can almost match the long term planning ability of many expensive desktop programs.
