With your subscription to Planning Center Check-Ins, your church administrators have access to three different kinds of stations through this app. - A MANNED station is run by a volunteer who manually checks each child in by name. - A SELF station is a device where regular attendees can quickly check in their children by themselves. - A ROSTER station is manned by a volunteer who checks children off of a class roster as they arrive at their classrooms. Well…3.0 ramps that up to absolutely unusable. The three ipads we updated lose printer connection after just a couple of minutes, rendering them useless. So much for the major overhaul. I would love to go back to the previous version so we could at least get a good 5 or 10 minutes before an error, but of course that’s not an option. Instead we get to be embarrassed and frustrated by the checkin system three times a week. If you have the 810 printers i highly recommend avoiding version 3.0 **Developer response:** Hi rodhx, Thank you for your honest feedback about upgrading to Check-Ins 3.0. Startup screen appears with a QR image and text indicating a process for setting up a new station but before the user can do anything, screen flashes and reappears. Does not respond to any presses. I’ve now lead 3 organizations through an entire transition from other system to Planning Center Online. Organizations of different sizes. PCO is always updating their products and clearly communicating those changes as they happen. Customer service has always been great but I’ve rarely had the need to use because of how clear their online resources are. Sure, there are still issues that come up. But those are typically as a result of a setting that the user isn’t utilizing correctly or a misunderstanding of how the systems function. Great value and well worth the investment.
