It will say session is connected, but other devices will not be flipping anymore. Even disconnecting and reconnecting doesn’t fix, so we need to stop session and start new one. WiFi is fine. Even tried new devices. ### 2/5 — Delay in loading pages *2026-04-20* Many times, this app has delayed loading the next page, which has put me in a difficult position while on stage. This app is supposed to be designed for on-stage use, yet it’s becoming increasingly unreliable. The lack of offline caching is also a major issue. Many times, people have gone on stage without internet access, even for files they were using just minutes earlier. Pixel erasure is no longer an option! The thick (left most) draw option is now gone! I need to ‘white-out’ sections of my charts to add custom information or TAB and that is now gone. Brushing the area with the remaining choices requires multiple broad passes for coverage, but it cannot be cleaned up with the select erase or pixel erase. Block erase removes it all… Guys, do you even use this before pushing it out? How about adding a TAB feature, that would be a good update PLEASE for the love of all that is HOLY, revert this! ### 2/5 — Bugs and unfulfilled feature requests *2025-12-28* Sometimes the app will not save annotation changes due to the chart being changed by the leader while the changes were in progress. Other times it won't save due to a software bug. I kept expecting this to get fixed in an update, but years later it's still a problem. I make extensive annotations, mostly tab notation. In 2019 I asked for a mono spaced font, which would be super helpful for tab. Surely this would be an easy add, right? It seems I always need to have paper copies ready to go because right before the service, Music Stand will decide not to display the music. Or, other times it will close mid-song and when reopening I need to login with my account credentials again. Just glitches that make it unreliable to use in a worship setting. For instance a jump from a 1st ending back to the repeat bar. ### 1/5 — The App Has A Serious Problem *2024-08-06* This app has worked ok on my new iPad Pro 2024 and AirTurn BT500S-4 bluetooth pedal for the past 3 weeks, but this past Sunday morning the app decided to quit working between practice and going live (30 minutes). It’s done this randomly before, which was the whole reason for me upgrading all of my hardware. All of a sudden, 45 seconds before going live, the pedal wouldn’t turn the page! I quickly rebooted the pedal, then verified the correct mode, still nothing. After playing the set I brought the iPad and pedal back stage, powered down both devices, powered up the ipad, then the pedal; still nothing! I performed a factory reset on the pedal; with no positive results. I went into the iPad app for the pedal and could verify all 4 switches working perfectly when activated. I tried other apps, and the pedal worked fine with them, but would not work with Music Stand. I finally removed the pedal from the bluetooth settings and added it back. It started working perfectly again! Because the pedal worked fine with other devices and wouldn’t work with this app in any of the modes, there’s no doubt that the problem is within this planning center/music stand app. This is unacceptable and has completely lost my trust in this app. The other problem it often has is the keyboard will not pop up to add or edit notes on the sheet music. It appears this app may be confused with the Apple Pencil connected causing the keyboard to not be displayed. Eventually the keyboard will pop up, but it takes a lot of going back and forth, in and out of editing mode. **Developer response:** Hi there, We're sorry to hear the app wasn't working with the pedal at such a crucial time! As someone who plays an instrument that requires the use of both hands(Bass Trombone) using my hand to swipe to the next page is not really an option. The AirTurn is working fine with the forScore app and others. Bring back the old pen tools or more options for tools. Lost all previous edits as well so I have to start all over. And the complete failure of not being able to even change thickness of writing and colors, which should be some of the most BASIC FUNCTIONS will not work. If anyone has found a better app to serve in the same capacity I’m all ears because I’m ready to say goodbye to planning center for good as I’m sure many other users are in the same boat. ### 1/5 — Accessibility *2026-02-23, version 4.7.3* Chord sheets don’t support text resizing, forcing low‑vision users to pinch, zoom, and pan which is very awkward while playing an instrument. I’m referring to when you plug a monitor into an iPad via an HDMI output.
