The inability to post without cropping in the planoly app or letting planoly post automatically for you is a PAIN and NOT user friendly. All I wanted was to be able to include 20 photos in a post on planoly but they couldn’t even even get that right. Also the inclusion of AI is terrible, STOP pushing it on your paying users and fix the actual issues. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2026-08-17, version 6.0.5* Never been so saddened by an update in my life. This was one of my favorite apps and now it isn’t even worth downloading. I didn’t use it to post, I used it to plan my feed and they’ve made it so much more difficult to do that. Can’t use it unless you’re actively linked with an account (in my case, Instagram), but when I try to, it keeps sending me to Facebook, despite the fact that I don’t have a FB account. At this point, the app truly is useless for me and I’ll have to cancel my subscription. ### 2/5 — Aesthetic over experience design *2026-08-06, version 6.0.4* The newest update of this app has its benefits, but I find it more difficult to navigate than ever - with more clicks necessary along the way. It just keeps saying “error try again later” Its basically unusable for me. ### 2/5 — Fix collaboration posts! *2026-04-20, version 5.59.2* I’ve used Planoly for my photography business for years, and have always liked it. But they need to find a way to fix the error of “import missing grid posts” glitching and not working for collaboration posts. It renders the grid planning almost useless when you can’t at least have a placeholder in those spots, let alone the real image. Please do something and fix this!!! ### 3/5 — Cover photos are a mess *2026-02-16, version 5.57.2* Starting using this app last month and unfortunately it cannot properly load your instagram cover photos correctly. On desktop there’s an option to change your cover photo, but it crashes whenever you click it. Super disappointing. The stats don’t work. I have to find workarounds to get basic things done (like adding to a carousel). ### 1/5 — Terrible Experience *2025-12-10, version 5.56.0* This app allowed me to upload and plan all my posts for the next year, around 30… and deleted them all then disconnected my instagram and swapped it for a new one I had just made that was completely unrelated my my MAIN account I was planned posts for. I connect my instagram to 100s of sites and apps with no issues, but no with Planoly, you can plan on not only wasting your time but not being able to do a simple account link I could do 15 years ago. Yeah cool logo and rebrand… not. ### 1/5 — Won't link *2025-10-02, version 5.52.0* I have downloaded this app so many times to use, but I can't get it to comment to any of my social media accounts. I've tried different accounts, none of them work. Can't use the app at the first instance ### 2/5 — Pas clair *2025-09-30* Compliqué à prendre en main. However half the time it refuses to post and if you choose to cancel you will charged no matter what. I have went into both my Apple account and my Planoly account and cancelled it. Both confirmed my account was cancelled and I was still Charged for the plan. I will not be using this app again as it has hit my bank account twice after cancellation. Any sane individual would *never* agree to that, and personally- I was unaware of several YEARS of charges, with absolutely zero use of the service. Extremely disappointing. Customer service is a joke. ### 1/5 — I keep getting junk spam *2025-06-15, version 5.46.0* Started using this and now my personal email gets flooded with spam ### 1/5 — App broken, unhelpful & useless *2025-06-15, version 5.46.0* The main issue entails subscribing to get access to 30 monthly templates — which do not exist. It’s an in-app link to an external website, which is broken and it’s a “not found” website. Great. Basically been defrauded. But to get to that point it took 3 painful attempts to link my Instagram account to Planoly. Planoly also has zero ability to distinguish between trial reels (which it shows as standard on your grid) and collab posts (which it doesn’t show on your grid). So as the planoly grid is not a copy of my real grid, the app is useless. Sincerely broken. And I do hope I get a refund for the 10 minutes I was subscribed or I’ll be severely disappointed. ### 2/5 — Aesthetic and uploads *2025-06-03, version 5.45.1* I’ve been using this app for a couple of years and really liked how easy it made posting not to mention The look was nice. No matter how many ways and times i try to reconnect my IG it simply doesn’t work. I’ve used Planoly for years - always seeing what photos work best on my feed before uploading. The new update was recently released and it won’t let me re-connect my Instagram account because I don’t have a “professional” account. Instagram has always been a fun app for me and some of us don’t want to constantly grow or monetize off the photos that we decide to post to document our lives. Disappointing to see Planoly seemingly disregard the non-business/corporate users of their app. Other features, like the folders section is totally changed and no longer helpful as it no longer displays photos in a grid formation with three photos per row. I also saw that you can integrate ChatGPT into the app? Awesome. Another AI integration that only corporations asked for. I’ve never reviewed an app before, so for me to do this is very abnormal, I guess I’m just frustrated because I truly loved this app for so many years and I feel locked out now. ### 1/5 — Hate the update!!! *2026-08-07, version 6.0.4* Go back. I’m a social media manager so I have 4 social media accounts on this app. They hadn’t made any updates for over 3 years, a lot of features were outdated. They just did a huge update and it lost all of my draft posts that I’ve put months of work into for all of my accounts. Even before this, anytime I had an issue with a glitch on their site or app, they take over 24 hours to get back to you, and never solve your issue. This has happened multiple times over the last few years. Terrible service, the reason I hadn’t switched services is because I had everything already uploaded into their system. I guess it will be easy to find another service now, since they deleted all my data and drafts in their horrible update. It’s also very expensive compared to other systems out there. Thanks for nothing Planoly! ### 1/5 — Honestly, terrible. *2026-08-06, version 6.0.4* I’ve used this app for years, always facing frustration with countless issues. The single benefit that made me keep it was the ability to visually plan multiple feeds within one app by using the drafts folders. It was extremely handy and made up for all of the other shortcomings of the app. I’ve just had to update to the new version to continue using the app and the new interface not only wipes this entire option, but has essentially thrown away all of the ongoing feeds that I’ve been meticulously building for years. I now have to work out how to download all the media I’ve uploaded and spend hours, if not days, re-organising it by memory in another platform. I’m really disappointed and to be frank, shocked, that they would implement these changes without warning their users of the implications to their existing work. ### 1/5 — New update not good *2026-08-06, version 6.0.4* The new PLANOLY update is terrible. You can barely see the grid because of the huge “Draft” and “Posted” labels, and deleting a post now requires five additional clicks. The previous version was far more user-friendly. They IG feed planner and I put hours of my life into it. They deleted everything in one day. Hours of my work. No help from customer service and they delete hundreds of comment on their social media pages.
