When i can add a task and attempt to add notes it crashes and i lose my entry. Need to fix the app otherwise product is unusable ### 1/5 — App is not even close *2019-04-11* Need to junk and restart. It almost feels like FC has used all the bandages they had on doctoring this up for 2 decades. The palm handhelds were much better. That’s not evolution. FC is supposed to be about progressing and evolving. Highly disappointed in this app at best. ### 1/5 — Limited Functionality for iPhone and iPad *2019-01-14* I find this app to be somewhat adequate to monitor my daily tasks and calendar but not much else. There are far too many fields that are not accessable in the app that you have access to on the web app. I will be submitting my suggestions and requests about the web app to the support team and once that is tweaked I will look at sending them for the iPad and iPhone app. ### 1/5 — Needs a huge make over *2018-02-06* Oh how I long for the day someone develops a simple Franklin Covey planner system ### 1/5 — No contact sync *2016-12-22, version 2.0.3* Since there is no contact sync it's basically of no value. ### 1/5 — Corrupts calendar data *2016-12-05, version 2.0.3* I am still trying to fix all of the repeating annual events this app corrupted months ago, when I allowed it to have access to my calendar. ### 1/5 — Half Baked App *2016-11-16, version 2.0.1* PlanPlusonline has been a credible planning tool for several years. The idea being that you could access your plans from any computer. The company has tried to write apps for phones and pad devices. They have been doing this as I say for several years and the still HAVE NOT integrated the complete program into this app yet. I considered using the program last January, and after a trial, was assured by a salesman that the program would be complete in a couple of months. It's still has not happened. It is only partially operational. You would think that the FranklinCovey company could do better than this..... ### 2/5 — Decent try....needs to improve *2016-09-06, version 1.1.4* Thanks plan plus. This is a decent tool for planning. But needs a lot of work if you want to make it better for the PlanPlus web version. I'm in sales and I want to use both the web version of the tool and the mobile version of the tool to monitor my Opportunities. Opportunities are not in the plan plus mobile version, the application doesn't automatically sync with the online version. Like I said, a decent first try but it needs more work. Even if you were to charge to make sure that the app info matched the plan plus web version, that would be ok. Insightly does a nice job of this but i like your prioritizing functionality better. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work at all *2016-07-22, version 1.1.1* I downloaded this app to my iPhone. When I open up the app, it asked me for my account name, my username, and my password. I am a new user, so I don't have any of these. It does not give me an option to create a new account. Without an existing account there is no way to create a new account. ### 1/5 — Unreliable syncing & Bad design *2016-06-13* Bottom line: The syncing doesn't work right and the tasks are not even designed to work like the PlanPlus Online software. Initially syncing worked. After spending an an entire day entering calendar, tasks and sales contacts, it now is not syncing correctly. I deleted an appointment on the PlanPlus site that still shows on the iPhone and I completed a task on the iPhone that still shows as incomplete on the PlanPlus site. Yes, I did the manual syncing from the app several times to no avail. Also, the standard Franklin Covey Tasks status is different on this iPhone app. It has a percentage checkbox and all the tasks default to "in progress". Why would they make it so different than the Covey method and their own PlanPlus online?! I was VERY excited to see this app appear only to be horribly disappointed that so many things were out of whack with it. There several other areas where this app falls short, but space is limited on this review. It is SO ironic that a company who's mission is to help you Focus on Life's Highest Priorities and Executing on them well can't manage a reasonable software release. ### 1/5 — Not ready for release *2016-05-18, version 1.0.8* This app is further evidence that, when it comes to technology, Franklin Covey just doesn't get it. Not only can you not create categories in this app, you can't even use the categories that you create on your desktop. (You have the choice of Business or Personal ONLY.) Furthermore, the app is only about sixty percent completed. Every single section of the entire Planning part "...isn't quite done yet." Considering that the Planning method is the ONLY thing that makes the extremely high prided Franklin Covey service any different from two dozen other services, that is unacceptable. Since I live in a mobile world and Franklin Covey can't provide a useable mobile service, I'll not likely continue their pricey subscription after my trial period. Edited to add that tasks marked completed in this app do not sync with the desktop version. Once again, the highly priced Franklin Covey is an absolute failure when it comes to technology. One would think that they would eventually get SOMETHING right, if by pure ACCIDENT. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Mobile App is not Reliable *2023-09-18* I have been a fan of Franklin Covey for a number of years. This product is not a positive representation for FC due to the ineffective sync process for mobile devices. It’s terrible and I was never able to sync me calendar. Poor support! ### 1/5 — Major Update Required *2022-09-17* An update of the interface with the iOS is greatly required. Consider integrating this with the calendar, email etc. This app should be a best-seller if properly designed and promoted. Currently, there seems to be more focus on the web app. After several years of not using the app and hoping it had gotten better, I synced to it and all my contacts got scrambled. ### 1/5 — Please update to align with web *2021-08-05* As it is, it’s a productivity app that defeats its purpose. Tasks don’t sync properly. Try to create or edit a Big Rock and get a black screen with no keyboard. No way to create our edit them. Values, roles, goals, and other features on web but not on app or on app but not on web. It is sad that this product is so buggy and has been for years that it would be in our best interest if XRM would sell the rights to someone that cares. ### 1/5 — Create a login link missing *2021-03-29* Downloaded the app. Shows me the login screen. No link to create a login. ### 1/5 — Big disappointment *2020-12-21, version 2.2.3* I had used plan plus on my PDA years ago and came back to it, hoping for the same functionality. Was I disappointed! This app is web-based, not phone-based, which in 2020 seems ridiculous. There are communication problems between the phone and the web apps. The phone app does not have the same depth as the web app. In 2020?! I lose repeat appointments...repeatedly. The program is buggy as all get out.Embarrassing sync problems between the app and the web based program. The screen freezes once a single task is prioritized, causing creative gyrations to enable scrolling again. Same thing when moving from day to day. Often nonsensical strings of characters are added to text. For all the hype of precision and excellence touted by emails I don’t need from the company, this program comes up short time and again. All of this for an outrageously high annual subscription. Currently, it is a second rate product far below the quality of the company. ### 1/5 — Really want to use this, but can’t *2020-12-14* Not aligned with web - 5 This has Big Rocks, which I love, but the web app doesn’t. Can’t edit them easily either. I’m a huge fan of Franklin Planner but their computer offerings (web, phone) are terrible, not easily integrated with their own products or with Apple. Cancelling my subscription and going back to Outlook and Apple. ### 1/5 — Sync is bad. *2020-03-16* Was hoping this app with plan plus trial. Took 10 minutes for test tasks to even show up. Changes made online never showed up on the app, mobile is too important to not have reliable sync. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2019-10-14* I was a huge Franklin Coven fan back in the day. Was hopeful re: PlanPlus and the associated app...but it keeps crashing and login keeps failing. Thanks Tyler. ### 5/5 — Finally Found my Online Planner *2019-03-21* A special thanks to Tyler Carver for taking the time to setup PlanPlus with me. I went from a desk full of paper scraps to organized syncing with my phone in about an hour. I recommend that any new user or trial subscriber spend the time with Tyler to start out right. He worked with me to find a good solution for a public calendar issue that my organization had. Thank you, I have been looking for a replacement for the Franklin Planner software that I was using in 2005. None of the other platforms had the features that I was looking for. Brian ### 5/5 — I love this app *2017-05-16, version 2.0.7* I use it all the time and have for years. ### 5/5 — Finally the app works on my iPhone *2016-04-13, version 1.0.6* I have used the website planner for years, and tried a previous version, but that version was full of problems with functionality. Finally, the app works the way it should, and syncs with the iCalendar and my phone contacts. And so far the app seems to work well. BZ PlanPlus. Keep it up. ### 4/5 — Best Day Planner App *2022-12-03* I’ve been using the Franklin Planner method day planner for 32 years. I’ve tried most, if not all, mobile Apps in search of one that works. Some other Apps get close and are good, but they are just To-do list apps and go out of business. PlanPlus Online not only follows the Franklin Planner method, it does not go out of business. I use PlanPlus Online on my iPhone, iPad, Windows 10 desktop and Windows 11 Laptop and they all sync perfectly. I was having issues initially and Tech support helped me, gave me individual support and did not brush me off or abandon me. Most tech supports try their best to pass you off to a community blog and get you off their backs. PlanPlan Online Tech support was committed to help me. I finally discovered that I was using the App wrong and not following the Franklin method, shame on me. I was using it as if it was one of those other to-do list Apps and not a true Day Planner. The App still needs help in other areas, but they will fix those. It is the Best Day Planner out there. ### 4/5 — It's functional but not great *2017-02-03, version 2.0.4* The app seems functional. I would like to see a dashboard similar to the online interface with a drop down menu to access the various functions that are currently the home view. There also needs to be an Apple Watch app to make this app competitive with other productivity apps. ### 3/5 — Will not sync *2022-01-14* I have loved this program since it was on paper. I was so excited to go online. For many years it was an OK app, however now it will not sync between the phone and the computer. I have taken many of the webinars and tried talking to people in person, and I get nowhere. If they would fix this it would be a great app. I gave it a three star because I have some loyalty, but if there was another similar app out there, I would switch right away ### 2/5 — App needs a LOT of help *2020-04-27* I’ve been using the PlanPlus online in connection with the app for over a year. In that time I’ve determined that the app is basically useless. The most annoying issue is the “sync” button. After launching the software one has to sync. This process takes too long and my phone can’t go dark or the sync process ends. After a lengthy period the sync never seems to upload data from the app to the software. Data seems to only go one direction This was the one reason I wanted the app. I didn’t rate this a 1 star because I can at least see tasks (after a lengthy wait) on my phone.
