## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-26

What's new in Plant 1.2

• Made for iPhone Duo: Today on the cover, and your list beside the plant in every pose when it's open.
• Plant now speaks 16 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
• Water a plant right from the Coming Up widget. Waterings logged from a widget show up in the app straight away.
• Your plants are in Spotlight, Siri knows them by name, and the new Water Plant control logs a watering from Control Center or the Lock Screen.
• Drag a photo onto a plant to make it its picture, and Plant now follows Reduce Motion.
• Runs on iOS 17 and later.
• The original app icon and the round splash screen are back.

Plant also opens reliably for everyone, including iCloud Backup subscribers. We fixed a problem that could make Plant close right after opening. If that happened to you, please update instead of deleting the app: your plants are still on your phone. If iCloud Backup can't be reached, Plant keeps working from the copy on your phone and shows a small "iCloud backup is paused" note. Nothing is removed.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-23

• Tell Siri you watered a plant. It logs it, moves the next reminder and learns your rhythm exactly as tapping Water does, so you do not have to unlock a phone with wet hands.
• Ask what needs watering today and hear which plants, by name.
• Open any plant by saying its name.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-06-08

WHAT'S NEW IN PLANT 1.0.3

Plant now speaks your language. The whole app, from onboarding to reminders to the paywall, is newly available in 8 more languages:
Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.

If your iPhone or iPad is set to any of these, Plant will greet you, remind you, and cheer on your leafy friends in your own language automatically. Nothing to switch on.
Plus a little polish and behind the scenes tidying so everything feels smooth.

Thanks for growing with us. Happy planting.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-06-04

WHAT'S NEW IN PLANT

Smarter watering that learns your plants (Premium)
- Your watering schedule now adapts to each plant, not just a fixed number of days. It factors in pot size, drainage, and how much light the plant gets.
- It learns your rhythm over time. Water a little early, or tap "Not yet" when a plant is not thirsty, and the schedule quietly tunes itself to match.
- Outdoor plants also adjust to recent local weather, so rainy spells and heat waves are handled for you.
- Each plant shows why its schedule looks the way it does, for example "tuned for large pot, bright light, your faster rhythm".

Now speaking your language
- Plant is fully translated into 12 languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Russian, Hindi, and Arabic, including right to left layout.

A cuter, fresher look
- New hand crafted 3D plant models with softer, warmer lighting and more depth.
- A refreshed app icon and a friendly new sprout mark throughout the app.

Polish and fixes
- Many small refinements across the app for a smoother, calmer experience.

Thanks for growing with us. As always, send feedback any time. Happy planting.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-06-01

What's New in Version 1.0.1

Your plants just got a glow up.

New cute 3D plant models
Every plant now has its own hand crafted low poly 3D model. They gently spin on their own, and you can grab and flick them to spin them yourself.

Prefer it simple?
A new setting lets you turn the 3D models off and switch back to the lighter animated view at any time. Find it in Settings under Appearance.

Better photos
Add your own plant photos to any plant. Photos now fill the card edge to edge and load faster, while using less storage on your device.

Faster and lighter
Big performance and battery improvements under the hood, plus a smoother, more polished detail screen.

Bug fixes
Fixed plant models that could appear sideways, tidied up the spacing so each plant sits centered and looks its best, and squashed a handful of smaller issues.

Thanks for growing with us. If you are enjoying the app, a quick review really helps.
