You no longer need Pro to draw a two-storey house • AR measuring is free for everyone. Measure a room with the camera and draw it straight into the plan • The tracing photo can be moved, scaled and calibrated against a length you know • Auto-furnishing now reads the room's actual shape and keeps clear of door swings • 112 furniture items in ten categories, with dimensions you can show on the drawing • 40 room types, including basement living room, attic, home cinema, workshop and gym • A new start: welcome, draw, 3D, with no forms to fill in • Preview the property-listing export without Pro Plus a long list of fixes to export, VoiceOver and right-to-left languages. ### 1.7.0 — 2026-08-19 Plantekn 1.7.0. Now in 14 languages. FOUR NEW LANGUAGES Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Portuguese. Arabic is the first right to left language in the app: the interface mirrors, while the floor plan, the 3D view and every export stay as they were. A mirrored floor plan would be a different building. AREAS ON YOUR MARKET'S TERMS Area terminology now follows the measurement standard where you live instead of a translated Norwegian split. Primary and secondary space in Norway, boarea and biarea in Sweden, Wohnfläche and Nutzfläche in Germany. Markets that quote a single total get exactly that, because that is what property listings there actually show. PRICES WHERE YOU LIVE The renovation calculator now covers China, Saudi Arabia and Brazil as well. If you live somewhere other than your language suggests, pick your market in Settings. THE ROOF IS ON The house has a roof now, and you pick the shape: gable, hip, mono pitch or flat. Outside it has gained horizontal cladding, a foundation, steps up to the front door and planting around it. The light is new at the same time: a real sky, softer shadows and calmer light throughout. The house looks like a house, not like a model. LOFTS AND SLOPED CEILINGS A loft is bigger on the drawing than it is in the listing. Turn on a sloped ceiling for the floor, set the knee wall and the roof pitch, and watch the square metres fall outside as you drag. Only floor area where the ceiling reaches 1.9 m is counted. TWELVE NEW FURNITURE TYPES Bar stool, bench, pouf, rocking chair, piano, desk lamp, drying rack, shower cabin, vanity cabinet, range hood, oven and wine cooler. ALSO A new first run that walks you through your first room. A new floor picker with a thumbnail of every floor. A new app icon. Support for larger text sizes. Sharing that opens right away, whether you share an image, a PDF or HTML. Plantekn is built by one person. Every piece of feedback shapes the next version. ### 1.6.6 — 2026-08-14 Plantekn 1.6.6: the area adds up. Many of you draw one large room for the whole flat and place the rooms inside it. That counted the area twice. Inner rooms are now subtracted, so both the room and the building total come out right. Thank you to everyone who told us. 3D has been cleaned up too: ceilings, doors and stair openings render correctly in L shaped rooms, and the view is noticeably faster.
