This would encourage small urban gardeners like myself. I understand it being more expensive if you owned a bigger plot and then it would be worthwhile paying the subscription ### 4/5 — Good for the price *2026-07-06, version 3.7.10* Great reference though some popular garden varieties are not listed. Mapping is cool with the compatible planting function. There are other systems much fancier but I don't need to design my back yard, just planning a bunch of containers and a raised bed. Occasionally, I have problems, adding plants to the garden or, or understanding how many of a type of plant can go into a one by one space. I love that I can use it on my desktop and my phone. I used it quite a bit while planning and then recently when buying plants for my vegetable garden. I just found the podcast and learned some new things about the app from them there. The seed box to inventory your own seed collection is wonderful. So, I’m enjoying both the app and the podcast. Recommend as a good tool for planning and planting. ### 5/5 — Square foot gardening is fun and easy *2026-04-04, version 3.7.10* I’ve been arranging and rearranging my square foot garden with pencil and paper as my seedling yields evolve and I change my mind. The app has made it much easier to stay organized. ### 5/5 — Great tool *2026-04-01* Had my garden planned in less than 10 minutes. There is so much free information here. This is perfect for a first time square foot gardener. No hoops to jump through or ads. The free version is so good I can see myself upgrading to premium as the season carries on. Very easy to use interface. The issue with a lot of these apps is the difficulty getting the plant to the garden bed and then having to set parameters. The copy/paste tool is great and the app automatically sizes the plant for you. Being able to favorite different varieties of plants is a massive benefit. It’s a fairly simple tool, but that’s all you need and the devs do a great job keeping it user-friendly. ### 5/5 — Helpful *2026-03-31, version 3.7.10* This app has been easy to use and is helpful to use as learning to companion plant ### 4/5 — Great for planning your garden *2026-03-26, version 3.7.10* I initially had some issues with my garden. I created a garden while logged out, and in the process of creating an account and logging in to save my progress, my garden got erased. However, the team helped me recover my garden which I am very grateful for. The layout and UI is intuitive and very nicely designed. Almost all plants I needed to add were in the database, but a few were missing (huckleberry and pomegranate tree). ### 5/5 — Must have app! *2026-03-26, version 3.7.10* I’ve used this app to help plan my garden for the last few years. I accidentally purchased premium and thought that’s okay, I’d love to use it as long as I bought it and it’s a year subscription. However I cannot log in no matter what I do (it’s in my Apple account) and despite emailing customer service twice, I have yet to hear back. I’ve never left a negative review anywhere but I am sad I spent money and cannot utilize the app. I filed a claim with Apple for a refund but it was denied twice. I believe I spent $24.99 ### 1/5 — 1 garden unless *2026-05-28, version 3.7.10* Pretty app but not pretty enough to justify the expensive price to unlock more than one garden. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2026-05-10, version 3.7.10* The idea is great BUT unless you have hours to work on setting it up, it isn’t worth the price. They need to spend a lot of time on making the actual setup process, linking IOS to Mac easier. I could not figure it out and kept on getting error messages on trying to just CREATE a password to link. There is no easy way to put plants in your garden and the instructions are poor. I tried to setup ten beds and was unable to remove the one mistake I put in and have no idea how I even got it in there. Again, great idea, terrible execution. ### 1/5 — The app deleted my garden I spent hours working on *2026-03-21* I really enjoyed using this app to plan my garden this year, but unfortunately all of my hard work was taken away by the illogical design of this app. I created my garden on my iPad without being logged in because I assumed, like almost all apps these days, my data would automatically sync via iCloud. When I downloaded the app on my iPhone, I discovered this was not the case. In settings it said I could log in to save my progress so I did just that. However, when I logged into the account on my iPad, my garden vanished. I quickly logged out and saw that my garden was still gone. The app never told me logging in would overwrite all of the hard work I did while being logged out. At the very least I should have been warned, and ideally given an option to merge my existing data with my new account. Please either use iCloud sync so your app saves the data of users not logged in or don’t let users create gardens without being logged in. I really wanted to love this app but after hours and hours of work down the drain it will be hard to start from scratch. But now I’m being basically forced to buy it to be able to get the dates for my zone. Ive had the for several years now and really loved the app. I even suggested to friends but now I’m quite upset over the change. The developers should have ‘grandfathered’ people in like other apps I have had that did this. ### 1/5 — Cannot Add a Garden *2025-09-14, version 3.6.27* I click on the Gardens icon to create a garden. It says to click the + button but there is no button on the screen. Looks like the white garden box extend below the bottom edge of the screen, which is where I am guessing the + button would be. ### 1/5 — App WAS great *2025-05-25* I have used this app for years and had multiple gardens set up. Fantastic! This year I open it to plan and everything that had been saved is now gone and I can only have one garden before having to pay.
