### 3/5 — Software glitch

*2023-07-15*

Even that sometimes the app was not able to identify the plants, it was good for me. I was able to thrive my plants based on the care that app was suggesting. However recently I had a problem with app. It is not showing my plants and even when I am trying to create a new one it get erased soon after. I sent support email, nobody has reached out to me to resolve the issue. It is useless.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We've experienced technical issues which was resolved. Please, take a look again

### 2/5 — Technical Issues

*2023-07-08*

I found the app helpful with watering and fertilizer reminders however even though I’ve paid for a lifetime membership my account states that I need to pay for a membership to continue. Also, all of my saved plants were deleted.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We've experienced technical issues which was resolved. Please, take a look again

### 2/5 — unreliable

*2023-03-05*

I recently tried this app and the plant identification feature worked well, I found the disease diagnostic part to be less effective.

The app was easy to use and had a simple interface. I appreciated the ability to take a photo of a plant and have the app quickly identify its species. The app also provided useful information about the plant, such as its watering and sunlight needs.

However, when it came to diagnosing plant diseases, I found the app to be unreliable. I tested the app with several plants that I knew had specific diseases, and the app was not able to correctly identify the problem in most cases. Instead, it often gave generic advice such as "check for pests" or "increase ventilation."

Overall, I would recommend this app for plant identification purposes only. If you are looking for a reliable tool to diagnose plant diseases, you may want to look elsewhere.

**Developer response:** Thank you for such detailed feedback!
We'll keep working on updates for the disease identification

### 4/5 — Love the app but the price😬

*2022-12-31, version 1.1.0*

This app is so incredibly rich in information and allows you to even learn about certain plants just out of curiosity. However $10/ week or $200 for lifetime is absurdddddd to me. There are ways to get this same information online somewhere so I believe the app should be free. Maybe for some special advise or cool add ones there could be a charge. But the majority of this app should be free.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. As for now we're working hard on extending plant information and app functionality, so we need support from the community. When the app became perfectly balanced, we'll make it free. So, thank you for your support and understanding

### 3/5 — It’s a good idea but at $7.99 a month not that useful

*2022-09-30, version 1.1.0*

For someone just casually taking care of plants, the price point is high. I don’t mind supporting my favorite podcasters for $5 a month or patreon content creators, but this isn’t something I would use everyday or even once a month.

Didn’t even try it for free because of the paywall

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback! What is the reasonable price for you?

### 2/5 — Doesn’t identify diseases

*2022-09-28, version 1.1.0*

Completely false advertising. They only have a list of everything that could possibly affect any plant, anywhere, and how to treat that. I tried it on two of my house plants, and it didn’t know what was wrong with either. Glad I figured it out before they charged me $10/week ($40/month) for something Google could better help me with.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for the feedback. Yes, you can find the disease info in the internet, because we actively support the community and share disease information worldwide. About the identification, we're actively working on the improvements to the algorithm and the new update will be released soon

### 2/5 — Overcharged

*2022-09-03, version 1.1.0*

I tried the free trial for the app. Immediately I realized it didn’t really do much more than the free app, so I canceled my trial. I didn’t realize that it was billing me 10 bucks a week. I talked to Apple and they said that I was somehow supposed to cancel it through the App Store instead of in the app. Now I can’t get the Support button to work to contact the Apple producer to get a refund. That’s a lot of money for an app that doesn’t really do much. And then I didn’t even use. So I’m pretty upset. I’ll give them two stars because it does actually do something.

**Developer response:** Sorry for such an experience
We've already updated the app to prevent such issues

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2022-09-02, version 1.1.0*

Every time I take a photo to get tips, all I get is some disease it supposedly has and it’s not even the same problems my plants have.
I am so disappointed in this app and want my money back

### 3/5 — Confused

*2022-07-12, version 1.0.3*

Even though my plants look bad and the leaves are brown, the diagnosis keeps saying your plants are healthy. Obviously something is wrong with them and that is why I got this app. So far not giving me ANY advice to help my plants.

**Developer response:** Dear valued customer, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Please reach us out at theplantiaapp@gmail.com, so we would be able to look into your issue and come up with a resolution

### 5/5 — A Great App

*2022-06-20, version 1.0.3*

This app is great! It helps my daughter learn about new plants and see what they are called me and my daughter love this app, if you want a good plant app this I the one.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2023-07-17*

Paid for the lifetime membership and still haven’t been able to use it to detect a single disease. The disease scanner camera freezes after you take the photo and the only way out is to close the app and open again. Have never been able to use the app for disease detection. Very disappointed. I wish I had not paid for it :(

### 1/5 — Deleted all my plants

*2023-07-11*

I sent a message to the app company over two weeks ago saying I couldn’t access “my garden” nothing. I tried, logging out and logging back in, I tried reinstalling the app. It deleted my subscription which I paid for lifetime membership, even though my log in is the same. So disappointed!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We've experienced technical issues which was resolved. Please, take a look again

### 1/5 — I used to love this app, I’m not sure what happened

*2023-07-09*

I used to love this App. In the last couple of weeks everything seems broken. I have a premium account and it will not save my garden.
It send me reminders to take care of my plants but when I open the App, “poof” there is nothing there.
I’ve logged out, logged in and still nothing.
What did I just pay $50 for?

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We've experienced technical issues which was resolved. Please, take a look again

### 1/5 — Instagram Ad Scam

*2023-04-10*

I used the app and all it said was the plants were healthy (when they weren’t) or had some form or issue with water. Didn’t even specify too little or too much. Anyone who knows what a plant is could do that.

I asked to notify me when the free trial period ended. Of course it did not and said I needed to cancel 24 hours prior to the end. So I got an 8 dollar bill for being stupid and downloading something I saw on an ad. Let’s hope my cancellation goes through and I’m not doomed to pay them forever.

**Developer response:** Hello, we're really sorry for such an issue. Could you please contact us via email theplantiaapp@gmail.com so we could handle all the issues

### 1/5 — Misleading free trial

*2023-02-08, version 1.1.0*

I clicked to sign up for the free trial and was immediately charged $200 for the lifetime subscription!! Now going through the hassle of trying to get a refund. Never again.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work well

*2022-12-31, version 1.1.0*

I wish I had bought the trial and not life version as apparently there are no refunds. I wanted to identify several plants that looked like they were dead from last frost and find out what to do. App would not identify plants correctly. Went around to plants I knew and app was only able to identify a few. Looked my plant up on web and typed it in app to see if app would tell me what to do to help it recover and it started talking about a watering issue (not frost). Pretty disappointing.

**Developer response:** We're sorry you've got such experience. Our plant disease identification algorithm is in active development stage, so we're launch a new updates often. Stay tuned for the app improvements

### 1/5 — advises are unuseable

*2022-12-14, version 1.1.0*

app is free 3 days then they charge you 10usd per week BE CAREFUL.
the app does not recognize the plant, and then give completely random advises (advises does not relate to the plant in question).
product is not mature enough to be relevant, especially for a paying app.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2022-09-22, version 1.1.0*

If i had to read a plant info i could have went to google for it. I wanted a solution for my plant specific problem. And the application is asking me to select the problem, if i knew it i would have googled it instead. Waste of taking subscription.
Not worth even one star.

### 1/5 — Will charge you 9.99 a week! Don’t download!!

*2022-07-13, version 1.0.3*

I thought this was a free app with in app purchases. They charge you automatically after 7 days! I had no idea. This app cost me over $70. I never used it! Beware!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-06-14, version 1.0.3*

Clearly my plant is sick. (Yellow leaves) but when diagnosed it says plant is healthy. Uhm, please work on the app more. Also, subscription is expensive compare to the simplicity of the app….Next.

### 5/5 — Great

*2023-02-21, version 1.1.0*

### 5/5 — Simple to use

*2022-12-23, version 1.1.0*

Love this App and it’s informative and helpful

### 5/5 — This app educates me!

*2022-10-09, version 1.1.0*

I was looking for the app to teach me how to take care of my garden - I've been bad at it since the very childhood. To put it short: liked the interface, screen dynamics, and qualified information. After you identify a plant, an app gives you a comprehensive analysis of its origin, general information, and care guides. Will be using further.

### 5/5 — Walking fun

*2022-10-06, version 1.1.0*

I was really bad at botanics at school and was never hoping to improve my skills further. What a surprise I felt when I downloaded this app and discovered that exloring was actually easy! If I notice some interesting plants or trees in the streets, I always scan and read about them - and next time I don't even have to use the app library. More time to learn and I'll be able to tell the kids about world's flora!! 😃))

### 5/5 — A very useful App.

*2022-09-20, version 1.1.0*

This app is great for identifying plants, the only issue I have is in the reminder section for watering and fertilizer it only gives you a choice of 30 days for fertilizer instead of months. Some if my plants only need to be fertized every few months so I can't set a proper reminder.

### 5/5 — Good plant information

*2022-07-24, version 1.0.3*

Pretty easy to use and the results are really fast!

### 5/5 — Help!

*2022-07-02, version 1.0.3*

I’ve always been the kind of gardener that waters everything at the same time on the same day! Boy was I wrong! With this app I’m finally learning how to take care of my Christmas cactus, and my poor baby was waterlogged. Thank you Plantia 🥰

### 5/5 — Great support

*2022-06-27, version 1.0.3*

I had some problems with payment and needed to contact support. They answered me in a few hours (I really appreciate this since I realise how many customers do they have). They fixed the issue and know I can use the app without extra charge. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Flour

*2022-06-24, version 1.0.3*
