I contacted their support who helpfully suggested it may be an iCloud setting and they were right: re-enabling iCloud access for the app in my iOS settings resolved the issue. If you come across the same problem you may want to try this same solution. **Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for the review! The app uses your iCloud account to sync your plants between devices securely for free. Glad we were able to resolve this for you and get your plants back for you. If anyone else faces a similar issue, remember to ensure you're logged into the same iCloud account as before, which you can check in the Settings app on your phone. After logging in the app will usually sync back within a minute or two. THANK YOU!! ### 5/5 — Simple yet effective! *2025-03-26, version 2.4.2* I’ve tried a few plant tracking apps and this one has been the best! It’s simple, which is great, because it otherwise ends up being too many things to track. The best thing about this one is that you can customize the watering reminders, and it’s great that it keeps reminding you if it’s been missed. A few suggestions for improvement: 1) Add info for each plant that gives you the rolling average if time between watering for the last 4 or 5 waterings. It could even suggest updating the watering schedule (to reduce or increase watering frequency). 2) Add a note that says how many days it’s been since the watering schedule has been passed. Todays tasks could even be sorted by the amount of “days overdue” ### 5/5 — Best plant app *2025-01-21* I really like this app. I like that you can see the history of pictures per each plant to see how the plants grow over time. I also like that there’s not a limit for how many plants you can add to track (or at least, I haven’t ever seen the limit, so if there is one, it must be a decent amount.) I love that it’s free to download and free to use. I recommend this app to many people who have plants. ### 5/5 — BEST PLANT APP *2024-11-16* This is seriously the best plant app out there. I would recommend finding a way to snooze the reminders for a certain number of days. The weather really effects how often I need to water, and being able to say, “Remind me again in ____ days,” would be so useful. Otherwise, no notes! The app sends a message that the notification is disabled and when I go to my settings everything is ok. When we activate the app we do have a message to authorize the notifications. Until *2022-11-07* Have used the app for a while without any issues but for the last couple of weeks it will not load my plant list. If you continue to have any problems let me know using the Contact Us feature in the app. All the best, Liam ### 3/5 — Just what I needed *2025-05-26* Edited: from 5 stars to 3: this dropped down to 3 star ratings because the notifications to remind to water or fertilize are in app only - meaning, I have to open the app to see a notification. I had thought I would get a red badge on the app or a notification on my home screen. If this changes I will bump my rating back to a 5. I was looking for a pretty basic app that allowed me to enter the basics for my plants. I pretty much wanted an app that would replicate my notebook where I kept track of my watering and fertilizing schedule and something that gave me the freedom to write down what notes were needed I also love the fact this is simplistic and very easy to use. I’ve tried a lot of different apps but this one truly suited my needs. ### 3/5 — Cute app, but some annoying bugs *2023-01-06, version 1.1.2* Nice app for keeping an eye on your plants‘ care schedule. But the plant list doesn’t show so that you have to aimlessly click on white background to see your plant. ### 4/5 — Plantminder is a plant saver also for your wallet! *2026-05-30* I was using another free app that I loved but after 5 years is no longer being supported and I started to lose my information. Searching for a new app, I found Plantminder. This app is wonderful and just as good in every way except for one. I miss not being able to see at a glance which plants will need to be watered the next day, in a few days, in a week. You could also easily delay a plants watering by a couple days when you realize it isn’t quite time yet. This was especially helpful when going on an upcoming trip. Otherwise I’m loving this app and happy to find a great replacement. It’s ridiculous to see so many similar apps charge $6 a month, $60 a year when I just want an app to help me remember to water my plants. I think it’s fair to buy an app but a subscription just seems like a money grab. **Developer response:** Thank you for the support! The room feature is great as I have many all over the house. Only thing I would recommend is being able to manually sort the photo so you can put them in order. So as I walk around the room I can go from plant to plant without scrolling to find it. I have about 100 plants. ### 4/5 — Perfect for keeping track of your plants and truly free❤️ *2026-04-05* I love the layout and being able to organize the plants into rooms. The journal feature is also amazing. I love all the things you can log and add new pictures to keep track of their health and progress. I also really like that you can set separate reminders for each plant. I also really really appreciate that this app is truly free. It’s exactly what I was looking for. I can keep track of all my plants in one place without being forced to pay a membership fee. THANK YOU Plantminder!! There are a couple tweaks that would make this app a 5 star for me: When logging in the journal I’d love to be able to leave a note for each entry. For example if I log a repot I’d love to be able to write a note about soil type etc. Or if I log a fertilizer I’d love to leave a note to record which fertilizer I used and how much. I’d also like to be able to edit notes that I log instead of having to delete a mistake and start over. What would really set this app apart would be adding a calendar page. So we can look at all the watering due dates on a calendar instead of having to look up/click into each plant individually. But I will definitely be using this app from now on!❤️ ### 4/5 — Perfect for my needs. *2026-02-03* The app is simple and it works. I can keep track of my plants and keep a journal of pictures and my efforts to care for the plants. I can set up reminders as needed. All this for free. I would forget when/what I have done without this app. Some options I wish it had - I had a plant that was destroyed by a storm and tried to bring it back but no luck. Would be nice to still have it on the app but in another section (dead, no longer with me etc section). Only thing you can do is turn off all reminders for it and create a new room for the plants to be listed in. - when you hit water, fertilise, repot etc it lets you also add a note if you want.
