PlantPacer is a local-first field notebook for people who care for plants across rooms, shelves, studios, offices, and shared spaces. Build a useful profile for each plant with its location, container, substrate, exposure, and your own notes. Define the actions and schedule that fit your setup, then work through a focused care run grouped by location. RECORD WHAT HAPPENED - Log completed actions and written observations. - Capture a factual substrate reading and optional water amount. - Add manual temperature and humidity observations. - Review care cadence and completion charts calculated from your own entries. TRACK PROPAGATION - Create propagation batches linked to a plant. - Move each batch through custom stages. - Keep a dated stage history and notes. HAND OFF WITH CONFIDENCE - Prepare a sitter handoff from selected plants and date ranges. - Share the handoff as text or PDF. - Export care history as CSV. - Back up the complete notebook as JSON and restore by merge or replace. PRIVATE BY DESIGN PlantPacer requires no account and includes no advertising, analytics, subscription, or remote service. Your notebook stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it. Optional reminders are scheduled locally. PlantPacer does not identify species, diagnose plant health, prescribe treatment, determine toxicity, or generate care recommendations. The former bundled care and toxicity library and automatic seasonal adjustments have been removed. ### 1.3 — 2026-06-23 **Watering reminders, on your device** Turn on reminders in Info and PlantPacer will nudge you on each scheduled plant's next watering day, at the time you choose. Watering a plant reschedules its reminder automatically. Nothing leaves your device — no account, no push servers. **A new History tab** See how you're really doing. A 12-week chart shows your waterings per week, and each plant gets an on-time rate plus current and longest watering streaks, all built from the history PlantPacer already keeps. **Back up and restore everything to one file** Save all your plants — schedules, watering history, light, and pet-safety — to a single file you can keep or move to a new phone. Restore it later, choosing whether to replace your plants or merge in the ones that aren't already there. Recurring watering schedules Give each plant a watering interval. Tap "Water now" on the Today card, or swipe right on a plant in your Library, and PlantPacer logs the watering and rolls the next due date forward automatically. No more re-entering dates every time. Each plant keeps its own watering history. Seasonal pacing Houseplants need far less water in low winter light and a little more in summer's active growth. PlantPacer now stretches winter intervals (~40% longer) and tightens summer ones (~15% shorter), with spring and fall at baseline. The Today screen shows the current season's note, and every plant shows its season-adjusted interval. This follows university-extension guidance that the top winter killer of houseplants is overwatering. Bundled care library (offline, cited) Browse 18 of the most common houseplants - Monstera, Snake plant, Pothos, Peace lily, ZZ plant, ferns, succulents and more - each with a baseline watering interval, light need, and pet-toxicity. Add one in a tap and it arrives with everything pre-filled and the first watering already paced for the season. Pet-toxicity follows the ASPCA Toxic & Non-Toxic Plant Lists, and toxic plants are flagged on cards, in the library, and in your exports. Better at-a-glance status and exports - Plants now read "Due today," "in 3 days," or "2 days late" instead of a bare date. - The plant-sitter card export now includes each plant's schedule, light, last-watered date, and pet-safety. - The CSV export gained botanical name, watering interval, next due, last watered, and toxicity columns. Still 100% offline - no account, no ads, no tracking, no third-party services.
