## What is PlantPal?

PlantPal keeps every houseplant alive by building a smart, per-species watering schedule that actually adapts to your home — not a fixed date you have to guess.

Most reminder apps just count down to a day you typed in. PlantPal is different. It starts from a built-in almanac of ~50 common indoor species, each with its own base watering interval, light needs, difficulty and pet-toxicity. Then it tunes that interval to your real conditions.

A CADENCE ENGINE THAT THINKS FOR YOU
- Pot size: bigger pots hold more soil and water, so they stretch the days between waterings.
- Light level: bright, medium or low light changes how fast a plant drinks.
- Season: indoor plants drink far less in winter. PlantPal reads your device date and hemisphere and automatically lengthens or shortens the schedule — you never touch a thing.
- It even learns. If you tend to water a little early or late, the engine gently adjusts the next date to match your habits.

Every plant has five independent care streams, each with its own rhythm:

- Fertilize

- Repot
Mark any task done and PlantPal instantly recomputes the next date and re-schedules your reminder.

THE HYDRATION METER
Each plant shows a water-drop meter that slowly drains as the next watering approaches. Thirsty plants rise to the top of your Garden with a gentle terracotta highlight, so you always know what needs you first. Tap Water and watch the drop fill back up.

A BUILT-IN PLANT ALMANAC
Browse the encyclopedia of ~50 species: water and light needs, difficulty, pet-safe vs. toxic, and a few practical tips for each. Found one you love? Add it straight to your garden.
