### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-08-09*

First of all the text on screen is tiny and I’m on a 27” monitor and wear glasses and can see perfectly with my glasses but the text is tiny. Another thing is you can set the measurements to imperial instead of metric but once you find the option you have to dial it in via decimal measurements. You can’t choose the thickness of the walls in imperial and it’s locked to metric. Totally garbage development. Not designed for anyone that knows construction/Architectural drafting. This is not the App you want!

### 1/5 — Awfully clunky, and expensive.

*2025-08-29*

I’ve been using PlanUp for 8 or so months now, purely due to the convenience of it being iPad based and on site. It can produce floorplans, though a lot of aspects are quite limited, mainly the symbols for different property features. Doors can only be open fully, there aren’t more than 3 french sliding doors, limited sinks, etc. Cupboards have massive walls, and are measured solely internally, so there’s a lot of trial and error to get your measurements into the app.

The software interface is not iPad friendly, it has small buttons that require infinitely precise clicks, and if you don’t click exactly where it wants, you lose whatever info you had input - even the large buttons have a small area that actually registers a click.

If a room name sits near anything you cannot click the item, such as windows and doors, and importantly measurements, it will only click the room name.

If you turn a shape, the adjusting sliders remain unturned while the shape has rotated. Suddenly you’re left guessing at which one alters what axis, not great for a precision measure app. Once turned, these sliders have limited movement before they send the shape into some morphed unrecoverable mass.

Sometimes you can place a window on a wall and it will be normal sized, sometimes it will randomly be tiny, and sometimes it takes up the entire wall. The same goes for shapes, which can randomly be absolutely miniscule.

If you’ve got a wall roughly around the measurement it really is, which tends to happen as you get good at floorplans, you can no longer input the measurement as it will not move the wall to the correct length, it will just note it. It will also randomly ignore your dimension input and just have it as 2 meters. Occasionally a wall will line up with something else in the app, but not in real life. There is no way to have the wall in the app in its actual position as it will keep snapping to the other wall.

The square meters is almost never correct, sometimes it’s a joke how far off it is, and this is with every single measurement manually put in.

When exporting any floorplans, if you have more than one floor and they aren’t a lovely and convenient shape, it will space out your floors and shrink them down, with no option to shuffle the layout. This also shrinks your floors down to shocking quality, so you will end up exporting two floorplans just to get the floors in a somewhat decent quality - which comes under your monthly subscription of floorplan amounts.

All in all it’s pretty pants, feels like an early iPod game which was transferred from PC. And the cherry on the cake is that it will crash, and when it crashes it will ask if you want to restore your floorplan. This works 95% of the time, but I guarantee the 5% time you click restore, you lose the floorplan, and it’s always the big ones. There’s no backups, not even a trace of the hours of work you’ve put in. Currently I am trying to fit in a redo on an enormous floorplan that I’ve just lost - which means another hour and a half battling this software.

All of this, for £50 a month, what’s not to love.

**Developer response:** Hi Archie,

Thank you for your review. Taking time to articulate your difficulties is very constructive, which we really appreciate.

Firstly, we can see that you subscribe to our service. If you ever have a problem, please pick up the phone or email us. We will be happy to support you in any way we can.

Moving onto some specifics, we are aware that some options/hit areas can be difficult to select at times, We will look to address this.

Windows like to 'best fit', however the best way to add a window is to select the window option then tap and drag it along a wall, to size it in one movement.
The 'shown measurements' within a room will default to 2m when the room is an irregular shape, like an L shape for example. Also the measurement is hidden, prompting you that you have to edit it. We do not want to assume which wall you would like the measure from. However, we may look to alter this so we will just choose a wall to take the measure from. Right or wrong, this would likely be better than a 2m default.

To move walls more accurately, please just zoom in or out. This will allow you to position them better. And we are very very concerned when you say that your sq area calcs are never correct. This will be a fundamental issue with your way you must be drawing your plans, because we pride ourselves on our measurements. Maybe you should give us a call, and we can do a remote session with you. See exactly what you are doing. Pop us an email, and we can get this arranged.

Also image quality is very important, We have very few reports of image quality problems. Standard images are created as an A4 size at 300 DPI. Again, we would like to see any problems you are having first hand.

Also if for some rare instance you believe you have lost a plan, call our team. We are auto-saving your plan in the background constantly. So as long as you have not deleted the App, and the 'lost plan' instance happened no more than 10 days ago, we will always be able to recover it for you.

We have many businesses relying on the quality and stability of our product, so again, please just contact us if you ever have an issue.

We can't look to improve our product without our customers reporting any issues they might find.

Furthermore, we will look to get one of our team to contact you directly so we can get you up to speed, and running smoothly along with our 1000's of other happy customers.

### 5/5 — Best floor plan software out there

*2025-06-09*

PlanUp is awesome, integrates with my accreditation app and saves me loads of times. Fantastic support available and always updating the software to ensure it’s ahead of the game.

**Developer response:** Really appreciate your feedback!

### 5/5 — Fantastic support, essential for EPCs

*2025-02-02*

The tech support staff do an incredible job. They genuinely care and have helped me massively.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your comments, much appreciated!

### 2/5 — Far to Expensive

*2025-01-20*

software is great how ever there are cheaper options available that do the same job. Only thing they dont do is populate the fields on rdsap go.

**Developer response:** At just over £1 a plan including full phone call, and as you say integration with all the accreditation schemes in the UK we really do think that is good value. The integration is quite a big part - it can save a lot of time rather than working out calculations and entering them manually, hence the price point. But we understand there is no way to price it that suits everyone, unless its free!

### 2/5 — So hard to edit

*2024-04-01*

There is a lot of missing when you try to build a plan through this.

### 1/5 — Failed to upload

*2024-03-28*

I can’t trust this system anymore , my floor plans have consistently failing to upload and being lost in the system causing me huge problems for my clients , I need a system I can trust that uploads !

**Developer response:** Hi there, sorry to hear that. We do have a new version due in the next few weeks which is hugely improved... hopefully that will sort out the issues you have been having.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-12-09*

This app is horrible now. With every new update it gets worse. I’ll measure and map rooms and half of the time it’ll just delete rooms once I’m done. It crashes all the time. If there’s any angle that’s not a 90 degree angle, I’m sweating just waiting for it to crash and delete half of the plan again. I use this on an iPhone, an iPhone pro max, and an iPad and there’s no difference on any of them.

**Developer response:** Hello Luekosb,

We're really sorry to hear about your difficulties with our software. It's quite rare, but we acknowledge that sometimes creating acute angles might be a bit challenging. Regarding the frequent crashes you're experiencing, this is certainly unusual. Our software has an auto-recovery feature, so if a crash does happen, your plan should be intact when you reopen it. It's concerning to hear that you're losing half of your plan; this is not a common issue, as we have thousands of users creating plans every month without such problems.

It sounds like there might be a unique issue with your device or the way the software is being used. We're here to help you get to the bottom of this. Our support team is always ready to assist, and we respond promptly. For our subscribers, we offer the added convenience of phone support to tackle any issue directly.

We're committed to making sure our software works smoothly for you, and if there's a persistent issue, we'll make sure it gets the attention it needs from our development team. Please do reach out to our support team. We're eager to work with you to resolve these issues and ensure a better experience with our software.

In regards to updates, we haven't actually done one an update since September 2021 so not quite sure what you are referring to with every new update. We have a brand new version due at the start of 2024 with hundreds of bug fixes and improvements.

Looking forward to assisting you soon.

### 2/5 — Potential but lacking

*2023-09-10*

I did enjoy using this but it is very limited, especially when working with rooms that are not perfect rectangles. I regularly had to scrap a floor and start over in a different method due to quirks that didnt allow me to complete rooms for no apparent reason.
Trying to use the floorplans created, again with irregularly shaped rooms, is also impossible as it doesnt include complete measurements on the plans when exporting, only a “x by y” statement under the room name and again only on perfectly rectangular rooms.

### 2/5 — Could be really good

*2023-07-08*

This app has the potential to be really useful, but has so many glitches that make it almost unusable. I can’t understand why the glitches are never fixed.
