Will get error “sorry smth went wrong” Everytime I try to login. I used Plastiq to pay a vendor $4000. The transaction fee was an additional $116. WEEKS after I initiated the transaction on Plastiq, the vendor still had not received the payment. Plastiq customer support now claims they can’t find my transaction - despite it showing up on my dashboard (I have screen shots and a transaction number from their platform). The money was withdrawn from my account. I am now working with my bank to recoup the money. I now believe Plastiq is a scam. ### 1/5 — No more AMEX *2023-02-18, version 1.0.1* They took away the ability to use an AMEX card. So many people relying on Plastiq and you let us down. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2023-02-14, version 1.0.1* Stopped accepting Amex abruptly, and I can’t add a bank account. Just keeps looping. However, I never had an account and it doesn’t give the option to create one. So annoying ### 1/5 — Made me late on my rent! *2022-11-30, version 0.36.1* This company caused me to be late on my rent! This company is super strict, regulatory, and bureaucratic. They refunded me twice over something very minor. If you guys advertise what you say you advertise then you should follow through. You guys are risking people being out on the streets with your last minute and abrupt refunds and cancelations. I’d be better off using money orders. ### 1/5 — Not recognizing my connected banks *2022-11-16, version 0.36.1* Weird glitch where it won’t let me submit a payment. Recognizes my credit card info but then a red required button shows up at the very bottom. I’ve been trying to submit a payment for the last hour. No one to talk to when it goes south. Annoying. Both the web page and app. App looks smooth as far as UI goes. ### 1/5 — Lack of features *2022-11-08, version 0.35.10* Can’t reach customer support from the app, can’t tell whether a check has been deposited or not. The information is inconsistent at best. ### 2/5 — Customer Service Needs Improving *2022-08-17, version 0.31.4* Was trying to pay a daycare bill, which was rejected because they deemed it a “peer-to-peer” payment. The message indicated I could upload an invoice as proof that it was for a legitimate bill, which I’ve done multiple times. I have received no response whatsoever via email. You cannot reach them by phone. They have a live chat option, but it’s extremely unhelpful and all they can tell you is to email account services, which, like I said, I’ve done multiple times over the course of a week. Not being able to talk with anyone or have meaningful communication is extremely frustrating and has now put me in an unnecessary time crunch. ### 1/5 — Ridiculous Requirement To Upload Invoice *2022-07-27, version 0.31.4* There are literally an endless number of online bill payment options out there, and this is the first time I was required to either upload a photo or digital copy of the invoice I was trying to pay. Why?!?!? A totally unnecessary and annoying step. Not required by an other service that I’ve used. I just shut the app down and didn’t use it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Did Not Make Scheduled Payments! *2026-03-31, version 2.9.0* This stupid app did not make the payments it was supposed to make. Then expected me to wait 3-5 days to be refunded. No one seems to be able to explain why the payments did not go through. Created a huge mess have to scramble for cashier’s checks last minute while they had my money tied up is some failed ACH transfer. User beware!!! ### 1/5 — Unreliable for Rent Payments *2025-09-05, version 2.6.0* I tried to use Plastiq to prepay 5 months of rent ($18,750) with full documentation. My lease allows advance rent, and I provided invoices. Plastiq still canceled the payment and told me to “take my business elsewhere.” If you need dependable rent or housing payments, look elsewhere — not a trustworthy app. ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-06-30, version 2.6.0* They canceled payments for unknown reasons and won’t bother to refund your money ### 1/5 — They are scam or incompetent at best. *2025-06-16, version 2.6.0* Please you are better off taking your business somewhere else. I decided to use their services and I regretted. Their processing time for payment from debit card or checking account is 5 business days which sound ridiculous, I still decided to wait only to be told that the transfer failed after 5days and the money removed from my bank account. I sent several messages to their customer support. Nothing. No reason for the fail transaction, no response at all. ### 1/5 — Mortgage payment *2025-05-22, version 2.6.0* Horrible! Never again. I used Plastia to make a mortgage payment and there system showed, the payment will be received on 5/14/25. Today is 5/22/25, the payment was never received by my mortgage company. I not have $70.00 late fee from my mortgage company. I have reach out to Plastiq about this and they only got back to me once stating, they sent to payment out on the 05/07/25. I have e-mailed them back well over 6 times between the dates leading up to right now! I have filed a dispute with my credit card company for lack of service that o never received. I will never use them again for anything!!! I see other comments showing the same problem. Then I see others showing they had no problems. Well I guess I fall into the payment never received. I plan on going after them for $70 based on principal. Horrible! ### 1/5 — No help *2024-10-24, version 2.2.1* It feels as if they only have one person running this. The customer service number is a voice mail. The “live chat” gives a constant “agent not available” message. The best you can do is hope for someone to reply emails. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE *2024-09-07, version 2.2.1* I tried to pay a entertainment management company for consultation work. They requested that I upload the invoice. After receiving the invoice, they said the payment was canceled because I’d worked with, NOT for, the management company. Uh….YEAH…that’s why I hired the company…because of the amazing work they’d done for clients that I was working with at the time. It’s a bunch of “back and forth” for nothing. HORRIBLE ### 1/5 — Worst service *2024-04-15, version 1.9.1* Cancelled three transactions without any reason. Be careful with this service. When I asked what your policy said that I need to provide everything about my business partner they kept silent. A lot companies hasn’t social media information that’s normal, but these guys didn’t heard about it. Not recommended service ever. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2023-09-03, version 1.1.0* Can’t get past log in and I never had an account. Can’t reach customer service either ### 1/5 — Cannot Enter verification code *2023-07-17, version 1.0.5* The app used to work fine. Today the verification code i was sent is one digit longer than previous ones. The app will not allow me to input the extra digit.
