## What is Plateline?

Plateline is a strength training tracker built around one idea: logging a set should take one tap.

Finish a set, tap once, and the weight and reps you did last time are already there. The rest timer starts itself. Your next target is on the row in front of you, so you never have to remember what beating last week means.

LOG ANYTHING YOU ACTUALLY DO
A catalog of 136 movements ships with the app, and each one collects only the fields it needs. A barbell lift takes weight and reps. A plank takes a duration. A rowing machine takes distance and time. Assisted work takes a negative load. Add your own movements when the catalog misses one.

FROM THE LOCK SCREEN
A live session puts the current set on your Lock Screen. Complete it there, without unlocking the phone and without breaking your rhythm between sets.

ROUTINES, NOT PAPERWORK
Build a routine once and start from it. Edit the day as it actually went, afterwards, in History. Nothing is frozen once it is written.

PROGRESS YOU CAN READ
Volume, working sets and estimated one rep max per movement, drawn from the sets you logged. The estimate stops above twelve reps rather than print a number that would bend the trend line, because the Epley formula is fitted to low rep work.

BUILT FOR THE GYM
Dark by default, so it does not blind you at 6am. Portrait only, one handed, with a keypad sized for the phone you are holding. Haptics confirm a tap you cannot look at. Undo is always one tap away.

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE
There is no account, no server of ours, no analytics and no advertising. We cannot see what you lift, because none of it ever leaves your device.

FREE AND PRO
The free plan covers two completed workouts a calendar week and two saved routines, with the full catalog, history and progress. Delete a workout or a routine and its slot is free again. Everything you have already logged stays readable and editable whether or not you subscribe.

Plateline Pro removes both limits: 3.99 USD a month, or 29.99 USD a year. A one time Lifetime unlock is offered as well, at the price shown on the paywall. Prices vary by storefront.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. Manage or cancel a subscription in the App Store settings of your Apple Account.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.1 — 2026-09-16

Pair two exercises into a superset, in a routine and in a running workout. The pair is marked A and B, and a third exercise extends the superset instead of starting a second one.

Settings now has an exercise library: create your own movements, correct them, and hide the ones you never use. The redesigned form shows a live preview and warns before you save a name that already exists.

A workout's name, note and bodyweight sit behind the menu at the top right of the training screen. You can leave a note on a single exercise too.

Export your whole training history as a CSV file from Settings. Every exercise page also shows the working weight for common percentages of your best estimated one rep max. Routines can be reordered with a visible button and can carry a note.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-08

Exercises measured in time now count. History and Progress show the total, and the longest set is a record like any other.

Tap a workout in History to edit it or keep it as a routine: that now sits in a menu instead of behind a swipe nobody finds.

A first launch starts with three example sessions so the app does not begin empty.

The row you type into scrolls into view. The month header and the legal and help pages follow the app's language.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-07

The set you are entering is now the large row. Every other row stays compact.

A full-width button creates the set and opens its entry in one go. Once no field is left to fill, the keypad's last key logs the set, so you no longer have to hit the small check.

Above each exercise, what you lifted last time.

Durations are typed like a stopwatch: 1400 gives 14:00. It used to give 23:20.

A workout in History can now be kept as a routine, and a routine is always saveable, not only once every set is ticked off.

The keypad closes with a mark in the same corner, on every exercise.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-06

Rating a set is one tag you tap through: easy, medium, hard. Three words side by side did not fit the row in any of the six languages.

The raised plus starts a workout after you delete one from History and free up a slot.

Routines can now be edited, duplicated and deleted with a long press, not only by swiping. And a full swipe no longer deletes a routine without asking.
