I use the app for maybe 15 seconds a day to just get my device turned on so there’s really no reason to change everything up and to break everything. On top of that, I feel like the UI looks a lot worse than the old one which makes it even less worth it to change it. Reminds me of an old 2010 app at this point. With my blackout safety eyewear on I cannot see to adjust the percentage, so my eyewear has to be off. So every time I adjust it, I get NIR exposure to my eyes. NOT SAFE! Others have complained of this problem. Please fix this issue!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible app update *2025-09-19* PLEASE CHANGE BACK TO PREVIOUS APP!!! This one slides up and down on my screen, slides up and down when adjusting RL and NIR percentages. Sometimes when I hit run after putting my eye protection on, the app will go into another language and on a completely different screen. I have to remove my eyewear after adjusting them so no light comes through, just to get back to English and to the run screen again. Also when adjusting the RL and NIR percentages, the light comes on while adjusting! Not safe for the eyes with the NIR. I have to hit the back screen, then off, for it to turn off. For such a high end expensive device, this app, especially the new format, is TERRIBLE! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to improve their health. ### 4/5 — updated review -recent update turns off when changing setting, now fixed *2025-12-10, version 1.3.8* previously, panel would turn off as soon as setting was adjusted. but i found out if you run the setting first, then change red light or infrared, panel does not turn off. you can also change time quickly by using timer then adding or subtracting minutes. i’m able to use red light routine like i used to. happy with it now. previous: with recent update when changing custom mode setting, it turns off. so if one wants to change percentage of red or nir device needs to turn off and on each time. older version is much better. ### 4/5 — Good app- could be tweaked a bit *2023-04-12, version 1.1* I love that I can control my Biomax 900 with the app. The controls and settings are great. I love that the light beeps halfway through the time so you can turn around. One thing I don’t like is this- my iPhone is set to auto lock after 5 minutes(which is the maximum time you can set unless you turn it off completely). If I’m using my light for more than 5 minutes then the screen locks, and when that happens the timer on the app freezes, and when I unlock my phone it continues the countdown from where it let off which puts it out of sync with the light. The good thing is the timer on the light itself doesn’t freeze, it continues without the app. One way to prevent my phone from auto locking is to touch the screen periodically. However, when I do that the app returns to the main menu and the timer is shut off(not on the light) So- I wish the timer wouldn’t freeze on the app when my phone auto locks and I wish I could touch my screen to prevent it from auto locking without the app cutting off the timer and returning to the main menu. I know I could prevent all of this by turning off the auto lock feature on my iPhone, but I’d rather not do that because I may forget to turn it back on. ### 3/5 — Good but request some changes *2023-11-29, version 1.1* When I try and adjust the relative intensity of the red versus near IR lights, it always turns the lights on.
