Tried six times, entered team info, skill levels, all the stuff. Still cannot access the “generate lineup” screen. Went to “Contact” tab and it doesn’t work. Went to website and the “Send us a Message” screen takes input but doesn’t have a submit or send button. Hard Fail. ### 1/5 — Glitchy and Cumbersome *2024-09-22* I wish I could get my $5 back. Promising concept and features but the app suffers from several deficits: 1) Screens pop back and forth, in and out of where you want to be, resulting in a confusing and frustrating experience 2) the apps user interface is not intuitive. For one, it forces landscape mode and the various pop up boxes for entering data cover the field you are entering so editing data is blind. Also, the fields themselves are not always clear, esp on the player lineup where there are fields/boxes for entering data that are barely visible. 3) I finally fought my way through getting the team setup and the players with their skills listed, only to find that the function I purchased the app for, creating a lineup, is not working. There is a big black box that covers half of the lineup card. If not for this, I think this would have been a good app. I did receive an email from them about a “work around” that involved PowerPoint. Certain players are right for certain positions during different parts of the season, and this app allows you to enter those. However, when I try to adjust the number of innings each player is going to play to balance things out, the total will not update and will therefore not generate a lineup. Aside from the fact that it is painful to use on an iPhone, I was only able to enter my team info and that was it. I tried to contact the developer through the app and got a 404 error message. Then I tried to contact them through their website and got an “unknown error, try again” message. I highly recommend. 👍 ### 5/5 — Where have you been all my life?!! *2015-08-15* This app is amazing! I have dreamt of a program that could do this for years. It goes far beyond simply shuffling or cycling the defensive lineup. You decide the players that are proficient at each position, decide how competatively you would like to approach the game, and it does the rest! This app also allows the coach to control which players to pitch or catch specific innings. I can't wait to share this with all of my fellow coaches. It needs a couple enhancements but I can genuinely say it's an app I use weekly during the softball season. I do believe that in instructional play, the app should be able to track the players on how many times they have played a position and a rule should be set up specifically to account for the logic. Let's me honest, at the early stages it's all Daddy ball and parents only watch there own children. This would help distribute the positions so no one person played a position more than another person through out the season. Keep the parents happy. Remind you this would only be for instructional play ### 5/5 — Long time youth baseball coach *2015-02-13, version 1.2* It usually takes me an hour and a half to do a lineup each week. This is because I try to be fair and yet competitive at the same time. This will cut my time on planning the lineup to a fraction of the time. I hate trying to figure out where each player should play each inning. I love the weighted rules that you can apply based on skill level and being competitive or playing for fun based per inning. I have looked for an app like this for a long time. This is the perfect tool for my coaching toolbox. ### 5/5 — VERY COOL APP! *2014-05-21, version 1.0* I've only created a few lineups but so far this app is very cool! This season I am coaching my kid's tee-ball and kid pitch (9-10 year old) teams and I can already tell this app is going to reduce the amount of time I spend creating my lineups considerably without sacrificing quality. It's pretty cool that I can tell the app who I want playing where and when and the app takes that and creates the lineup. And, if I don't like what the app creates, I like that I can tweak the lineup if needed. Again, I've only created a few lineups so far but all of the setting and inputs seem to be very intuitive and easy to use. I like that I can create a 3 inning lineup for my tee-ball team with no catcher and 2 pitchers and everyone playing everywhere but then I can dial up the strategy for my kid pitch lineup where the games are more competitive. If you coach youth baseball or softball at any level, this app is worth a look. ### 4/5 — Super helpful *2023-05-13* As an instructional level team manager this app was super helpful, only problem is when I export the line up, the bottom half shows up on my phone as black. I had to screen shot it and print it out that way. ### 4/5 — Almost perfect *2017-05-09* His app does a great job of helping me create lineups especially considering we have a couple hard to follow rules, like that players need to play at east 3 innings and one of those needs to be on the infield. It's missing just a couple things: 1. iCloud support. I do most of my lineups on my iPad but only take my phone to the game. I would like it to sync. 2. I would like to be able to use portrait view on the iPhone. It's really annoying to only see a slice of things because it only works with landscape. 3. Errors that result from shuffling the lineup could be resolved with updated algorithms. It does most of the work for me, but I would imagine it could very easily take care of it all. If I can fix the errors manually, the app should be able to. ### 4/5 — Major Timesaver *2016-09-17* This app is a major timesaver. I volunteered to coach my son's little league team and was going crazy trying to figure out how to create a lineup to accommodate all the rules. While it is not perfect, it's the best app I can across (tried three others). Really wish they would update it to work better with newer versions of iOS though. ### 4/5 — Solid App! Great coaching tool *2016-04-04* This app has made my coaching job soo much easier. I manage a coed softball team. All the players have different skill levels and position limitations. It takes all of this into account and provides a lineup that needs very little tweaking. It also gives my players a fair amount of time on and off the field and allows me to adjust how many innings each player should play. I'm giving it 4 stars because I just need one more feature...ability to add coed rules into the equation. Other than that, the app is solid. I haven't encountered any performance issues.
