I’m a new player and it’s been really difficult figuring things out with this app as my resource. The event locator is not usable, it just shows stores - half of which are not real lol Seems on brand for this company though. The event locator is essential for community building, competitive players and new players. The fact that it is very tedious and a chore to locate upcoming events is an issue that should have never happened. The fact other 3rd party locators are being shutdown and Pokemon is not addressing their issues with its own event locator is frustrating. You would think Pokemon with its strong IP would have this app at 4 to 5 stars but it is obvious that Pokemon is very out of touch with its player base. I do understand that if we do not bring this issue up over and over then it will not be resolved. I encourage others who read this to mention the event locator be restored back to how it was originally. Pokemon or devs won’t do anything without the majority speaking up. ### 1/5 — Complete lack of quality of life *2025-12-12* Many of the core functionalities of the app simply do not work. The event locator is a butchered, worse version of the previous web based event locator with the inability to sort events by date. My profile in the app that displays my championship points is very unreliable, often not updated properly, and does not accurately display the events I took part in. Use pokedata.ovh ### 1/5 — Fix Event Locator *2025-12-12, version 1.10.7* I have to set aside 45min to 1 hour now to find events. Put the ability to sort events by date and distance back in. Also, put date and time back in the results list. Stop making us tap on every event to find out the time rather than quickly scrolling through and finding the info that’s needed. Too many steps, old version worked way better. Now you’re blocking 3rd party apps from mining the data they would compile to eliminate everything everyone hates about this app. RIP Pokedata.ovh Tisk, tisk Pokemon! ### 1/5 — Terrible event locator *2025-12-12* the ui is decent and it has useful features for keeping up to date with championship points etc. but the event locator is incredibly restrictive if you don’t live near many leagues but would like to attend more, and even if you do having to manually view each individual league to see when their cups/challenges are is frustrating. on top of that you still sometimes have to contact the TO to get the correct start time/entry cost. I’ve shown up to tournaments that started earlier than the time listed on the event locator because of the lack of information it shows. ### 2/5 — Data doesn’t refresh *2025-11-30* When i open the app, i don’t see my recent tournaments unless i sign out and back in again. It should happen automatically without needing me to sign out ### 1/5 — Good idea, if I could actually use it *2025-11-13, version 1.10.7* I was able to use it the first time I got it ever since I have been unable to access it. I’ve changed my password on 2 different occasions and it still says wrong username/password. I even went through the steps to recover my username in case that was wrong but it’s not. Ansicht ist die App echt prima und super vor allem wenn man eigentlich nach lokalen Turnieren suchen möchte, aber dass ich andauernd abgemeldet werde oder lokale Händler Adresse nicht überprüft und aktualisiert werden finde ich schrecklich. Massive downgrade considering we can’t access events to create our own schedules with third party apps anymore. Needs serious fixes. ### 2/5 — Gute Idee aber Probleme *2025-09-27* An sich ist die Idee für diese App richtig gut. Leider hat sie einen Fehler. Sie aktualisiert sich nicht von selbst. Wenn ich bei Pokémon Events war und in die App schaue, werden mir diese nicht angezeigt, bis ich mich von meinem Account abmelde und neu anmelde. Dann sehe ich die Daten für meine Events. Wenn ich mich also nicht jedes Mal an und abmelde, dann aktualisiert sich die App nicht was die Events angeht, an denen ich teilgenommen habe. Das muss unbedingt noch korrigiert werden. Precisa de 100 refreshs para funcionar 1 vez e sempre fala que estou offline. ### 1/5 — Great idea, poor execution so far *2025-09-17* Putting aside all of the event locator issues that people have covered exhaustively (and have been ignored for weeks and weeks now forcing people to use third-party software to find Pokémon events and making barrier to entry higher for new players) this app was a good idea but is lacking in execution. Championship points in general have not been updated properly, events are not reported correctly and aren’t even showing up at all at this point. The badge achievement system is cool but is not working properly (I have been to multiple league cups since I got the gold badge but have not been upgraded to the next level), and the list goes on. I would love for this to include decklist submission, event check-in, results reporting, and more; but it seems like this extremely rich company doesn’t have the money to spend on resources to make this app into even a shadow of what it could be. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Kein Datenschutz *2026-08-05* Mit Datenschutz haben es alle Pokémon Apps nicht so. A new player trying to get involved and I can’t reliably find events near me. Loading is inconsistent. Errors thrown constantly. Will appear one moment and disappear the next. These were all features that were available on the old website, why did they take them away?!? Local cups and challenges will be less attended because of the difficulty of finding them. Please fix. However, for the TCG side, you should be able to import your decklists and be able to submit them through it (for judge convenience), whether it’d be for League Challenge/Cup, special events such as Expanded or 2V2, etc. Other than that good platform to find tournaments ### 5/5 — Great app! Tons of functionality and I’m sure more great stuff to come! *2025-08-04* This is a long awaited app that brings so many tools into one place. I can’t wait to see what they do next but all of these tools are great. Badges for attendance and themes make the app very fun. The event locator is great. And card search tool is a welcome addition and we now have an official resource for card translations.
