## What is Play Table App?

Play Table turns your TV into a shared game table, while everyone's phone becomes their own private hand. Nobody passes a device around, and nobody crowds around one small screen — the table lives on the TV, and what's yours stays on your phone.

Cast it from your phone to a Chromecast, Google TV, or Apple TV, or just open it on any TV's web browser. Scan the code with your phone, and you're seated at the table.

HOW IT WORKS

The TV shows what everyone can see: the deck, the board, the scoreboard, everyone's avatar. Your phone shows only what's yours — your cards, your dice, your answers. When you're ready for something new, switch games without breaking up the room: the roster, the avatars, and the running score all carry over.

TWENTY GAMES, ONE APP

Card games — Blackjack, BS, Crazy Eights, Go Fish, Hearts, President, Scat, Spoons, Texas Hold'em
Dice games — Left-Right-Center, Liar's Dice, Yacht
Domino games — Mexican Train
Board games — Reversi
Party games — Bible Trivia, Bingo, Case Closed, Party Answers, Punchline, Word Guess

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Custom photo decks put a real face — a friend, a family member, the family dog — right on the cards or the avatar. Build a deck once and use it in any card game.

Switching games doesn't mean starting over. Everyone stays seated, and the score keeps counting.

"Winning the Night" tracks who's actually ahead across the whole session, not just whoever won the last round.

An announcer calls out the action on the TV as you play. The default voice is free; a few more personalities are available to unlock.

Play Table is built for people in the same room — family game night, a party, a slow Sunday afternoon with nothing else to do. Cast it, scan it, and start playing.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 0.0.61 — 2026-10-02

New this version
- A brand-new Shop. Every card deck, announcer voice, Punchline and Party Answers pack, Case Closed board and the Deck Builder is now in one place, with prices and a Restore purchases button. Open it from the first screen, no room needed, or from Settings while you play. Each item tells you where to find it once it's yours.
- A new cast menu. Tap the cast button in your room to see the Chromecast and Google TV devices nearby in one list. The TV you're casting to is clearly marked, and you can stop casting with one tap.
- Line up games in the lobby. While everyone's joining, the host taps + on any game to add it to the lineup, and everyone can see what's coming. The lineup holds up to 12 games.
- One end card for every game: Play again, Up next, or We're done. The same choices appear on the TV and on the host's phone, and nothing moves on until you pick.
- When the room votes on the next game, the winner now starts by itself after a moment. A tie is left to the host, who gets a Start button for each tied game.
- Bible Trivia: the host can choose which Bible version the reveal passages use, the Berean Standard Bible or the World English Bible.
- Bible Trivia: 25 new Easy questions, perfect for family nights.
- Party Answers now has an announcer: each prompt card is read aloud, in whichever of the six voices you've picked.
- Punchline and Party Answers remember the host's pack choice, and it carries over when you hit Play again.
- The end-of-night card now shows each champion's avatar next to their name.

Improvements
- Casting now starts from inside your room, so the TV always shows your table and never an empty screen.
- Clearer messages while the app looks for TVs, and help if your phone's local network permission is blocking them.
- New lobby artwork: every game tile has been redrawn as one matching set.
- Number cards look cleaner. The pips sit around the corner numbers, and the corners stay clear of the art at every card size.
- In Party Answers, your turn's buttons stay pinned at the bottom of the screen, within easy reach of your thumb.
- The announcer finishes calling the vote result before the next game's announcer starts.
- Announcer lines across the games have been reviewed and re-recorded. Winning hands now sound like wins, and the announcer no longer calls every player "he".
- Bible Trivia: Easy questions no longer give away the answer to another question.
- Ready for iOS 27.

Fixes
- Fixed the vote getting stuck on "Starting…" if someone's phone dropped out for a moment.
- With a four-way tie at large text sizes, the host's Start buttons are now always reachable.
- When the lineup is full, the app now says so instead of ignoring the tap.
- The champion line on the end-of-night card is easier to read in dark mode.
- Leave room is now red on every phone, so it's easy to spot.
- Fixed stray spaces showing up inside quotes in Party Answers.

### 0.0.54 — 2026-09-15

NEW — FARKLE
Roll six dice, set aside what scores, then decide: bank your
points or roll again and risk the lot. Roll nothing and the
whole turn is gone. 2–12 players, and bots can fill any empty
seats.

NEW — THE LINE UP
A board of faces goes up on the TV. One player secretly knows
which face the table is hunting, and everyone else asks
yes-or-no questions out loud until somebody can name it. If
your room has a photo deck active, the suspects are your own
faces. 3–12 players — this one needs real people, so no bots.

LOBBY AND ROOM
• Bot seats now read like everyone else's: place, avatar, name,
level and score, all in the same columns. Renaming, avatars
and difficulty moved behind the pencil, so a lobby with three
bots is a quiet list instead of three open forms.
• Standings rank by games won, then alphabetically.
• Host controls fold away during play, so "Switch game" is no
longer sitting in the scroll path while you're looking at
  your hand.
