great for accessing all of the music I need but would love to have a top 5 or maybe a star/favourites system so what I’m learning now is at the top

So I love that people can use their login and password from their groupanizer account and see the same music that is on there but I agree with others feedback. 

Good that you can see the music at the same time as hear the track. 

It needs -
Basic playback control system 
Ability to make playlists and re order songs. 

Wish list:

Slow down, speed up, loop a section

I am about to move about 400 people onto choir genius and before I encourage them all to buy this app I look forward to seeing new features built for it giving more value for money.

I like this app because it links directly with my choir tracks without needing to download them or use other programs. 

And that's about it.

The functionality of the player is dreadful . It needs basic music player controls and it could also use a playlist function. 

It is buggy as hell, often needing to be reloaded multiple times to play a song.

I expect much better from a paid app.

This app is a convenient, quick way to access the music from my Choir Genius account on my phone.
Could use a toolbar that allows stop, start, rewind, and fast forward. Also, when you open the app, it doesn't open to a screen showing what is currently playing. You have to navigate to the track to turn it off. 
One annoying bug- it doesn't always start over at the beginning of a track when playing on continuous repeat.
Of course, closing the app completely (double click home button on iPhone and swipe up) resolves any buggy issues each time.

I want to give this five stars because I love this app! It's probably something I'm doing wrong, or perhaps the way our music is stored in Groupanizer, but I cannot look at the sheet music as I listen. Also, I am a dual member in a second chorus that uses Groupanizer but it's difficult to switch from one to the other. I actually put one on my iPad and the other on my phone. I'd love to have both on each device!

I love that you can play the song and look at the sheet music at the same time!  And I don't need to download files.  I can just play them. I would really like to be able to fast forward and rewind so that I can practice certain parts of songs. Is this going to be in a future release?  Without that feature I still need to rely on other tools such as Dropbox 😢

This app would be great in theory, but the music never loads. Just sits there and spins forever. On my wife’s phone she can at least log in, but the music won’t play. Closing and reopening doesn’t fix it. At this point, you’re better off using groupanizer on your phones web browser. Hope this gets fixed soon because as I said, in theory this app would be amazing. Poor execution at this point unfortunately.

Update Oct 2018: developer asked me to email them. Why? The app won’t launch properly. All I get is a white screen (and even that is formatted incorrectly for my phone!). There’s nothing that can be fixed from my end that will sort that out. It’s not like I just forgot my login! The issue is that the app is faulty and still not formatted properly for all iPhones. 

Update Sept 2018: app won’t load at all now in iOS 12. Worst app ever. 

Offline files can’t be seen or accessed offline! You can’t even load the app when offline. This feature was announced with the last update but it is simply not functional. The app description needs to be changed to reflect this. 

iPad app won’t remember login. 

Can’t export score pdfs to apps which let you print or edit them. 

Not properly formatted for iPhone X. 

I gave this app a second try as I was assured by the developer that offline files would now work. They don’t. I’m really really, really not impressed and feel badly misled. 

This has the potential to be a fantastic app. It isn’t. I cannot believe Groupanizer are endorsing it as an official app.

**Developer response:** Tell us more about the white screen issue. We’re not seeing that with other customers.

I cannot access learning tracks reliably. One or two songs, they are there. For our newest song? Nope. Just the PDFs. As previous reviewer said, I've signed out and back in. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. No help.

Our chorus has us using this app but we cannot always count on it to work properly. Today it would not work, tried to redownload, would not recognize my chorus’s name nor my log in. We need to be able to connect without these issues!

I’d hoped to be able to use this to listen to posted mp3s while on a plane, but even though the files show up, they are unplayable. I hope this gets fixed, because so far the app has been a waste of money.

Hope a future version has a play bar that allows you to stop, fast forward, rewind, move to any time spot in the song. As it is, you have to start at the beginning of the song every time you play it. Makes it unusable for listening to a particular measure several times to learn a tricky sequence of notes.

Really needs the ability to search! When you want to listen to a certain song you have to scroll all the way through hundreds of songs, especially if you don’t know what category it’s been put in. Would be very useful to be able to favourite songs and have a favourites list to easily access songs you’re learning. I would consider those two to be vital improvements before I’d consider this app worth having and using, and especially paying $5 for!!

I love the idea of this app but it’s just too limiting. There’s no ability to sort the titles of the songs so it apparently defaults to date order with the most recently modified or updated at the top.  A search icon would be helpful instead of having to scroll all the way down if I’m trying to find a piece of music that hasn’t needed updating.

I love this app; it makes accessing and playing learning tracks exponentially easier. I also love having the music available so I can bring it up on my iPad during rehearsal without having to log into groupanizer. The only improvement I would love is if you could print the music directly from Playback Genius. Then I would never have to go into groupanizer at all!

I can’t say enough good stuff about this app! It makes my life on groupanizer so much easier! It automatically picks up new music that has been added. I just click on the song and track I want and can even put it on repeat when I’m learning a new song. Also the feature that allows me to look at the sheet music and follow along is a plus when I’m not driving...haha!

The app works great with Groupanizer and more members of our choir are starting to use it. One suggestion: add a « 10 seconds back » button on the play music bar. Sometimes I am trying to learn a tricky spot in a learning track and being able to go back ten seconds instantly instead of trying to do it manually would be awesome.

This app needs more credit than its current review. I can practice my music literally anywhere which is imperative with my busy schedule. Been using it about 2 weeks and haven’t had any problems. Highly recommend this app.

I easily downloaded the app on my IPhone and mini IPad. It's been tremendous to have all my chorus songs here, not only the learning tracks, but the sheet music as well. The auto-repeat feature is great!
Suddenly last week, my sign-in attempts all failed. I wrote to their Support email and Amanda got back to me immediately!
Apparently, part of my chorus address sign-in was "self filling in". Once I had the correct address, I was back on site.
Also, somehow the site was not loading on my IPhone. Another email and again, an immediate response back from Amanda. She asked me to uninstall the app and then reinstall. Worked like a charm and I am back in business!
It's great to have that immediate support with problems resolved so quickly and easily. I LOVE Playback Genius!

I love using the app! I can't wait to see what will come up soon in updates!! I agree with being able to have a slider to move the track to where you want to work on the piece. But overall this is awesome and very helpful!!

Hi

Overall, the app works really well for my purposes however, recently we tried to hide tracks by using the feature in Choir Genius. It worked well in Choir Genius but everyone could still see all the learning tracks including the hidden ones in Playback Genius. Please fix the bug.

I have been awaiting this type of app. 

Songs grouped by categories. 
Songs alphabetizable. 
Playback buttons visible while viewing music. 
Customizable Personal set lists. 
Rememberable sign-ons for multiple groups. 

Also, do free accounts on Groupanizer work with this app?  I am not seeing my quartet songs while I see my chorus songs just fine.
