Hopefully that gives you a way to enjoy the app on your own terms. If you'd give it another look, we'd really appreciate it. Thanks again! ### 1/5 — Brilliant but… *2025-11-18* Great when it does work can’t really fault it but currently when I open the app it’s just stuck on the logo screen for ages not doing anything. Cant really delete and re download as it will delete my previous recordings. Not the best when you really need it and you pay for it but won’t load. **Developer response:** Hi there, really sorry you ran into this, especially when you needed the app most. To explain what happened: a major Cloudflare outage took down large parts of the internet for a few hours, affecting millions of apps and services worldwide. Playbacks relies on that same infrastructure. (You can Google “Cloudflare Nov 18” for more details.) Cloudflare patched the issue within 2–3 hours and everything returned to normal shortly after. Just to reassure you - deleting the app does not delete your recordings; they’re safely attached to your account. If you’d consider updating your review now that the issue wasn’t specific to our app, we’d really appreciate it. When exporting summaries, all formatting is lost and requires time to reformat. The search functionality is also poor - for how expensive this service is, the app leaves a lot to desire. Best regards, Playbacks Team ### 1/5 — App Broke the Minute I Became a Paying Customer *2025-09-18* I used the app and initially it worked, but the day I became a paying customer the app FAILED. The app didn’t generate neither a summary nor a transcript of my class recordings. So right now I’ve lost important class notes because I trusted this app. So yeah if you are considering to become a paying customer I would caution you. Also when you say you want to leave feedback if you say you have good feedback back the app leads you here but if you say you have bad feedback it keeps you in the app. The engineers are altering the backend to skew real feedback so you can’t see other people’s experience with this app. Very manipulative company. ### 3/5 — Alright, but not worth the price *2025-11-07* It’s a good app. Clean, easy to navigate, pretty accurate in its transcriptions. But 140 a year is, in my opinion, definitely not worth the price. You can have the exact same functionality by using any regular voice recording app, and loading it into NotebookLM (Google). Same level of transcription, same chat functionality and summary. Completely for free. If the app was maybe 5 dollars a month it could justify the convenience of having it directly on the phone, but at the moment it’s just not worth it with other free alternatives. **Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for the thoughtful feedback!
