## What is Playbox?

You turned up and there was no game. The squad fell apart an hour before kick-off. Someone still owes for the pitch.

Playbox fixes exactly that. One app for every format of amateur football: a one-off game, a weekly fixture, a tournament or a full league season.

### 41.3 — 2026-08-26

What's new:

- Haptic feedback works again on iPhone. Every tap and action answers back, so you know it landed. Still switchable in Settings.
- Push notifications are fixed. Alerts about your match, your lineup and your payments reach you again without opening the app.
- Checkout is one screen now, with Apple Pay. Joining a game takes a couple of taps instead of a form.
- Cancellation fees are honest up front. You see the fee before you commit and pay it there, instead of finding it deducted later. Settle or cancel it from anywhere it shows up.
- Signing up stopped fighting you. The city step can use your location, you can fix your email on the spot, and an unfinished sign-up picks up where you left off.
- If you run leagues: rules live on their own screen, you close a season and open the next stage yourself, and technical results are supported.
- Smaller things: friendlier wording in Serbian, Georgian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Armenian, a jump-to-profile tag in chats, no more stuck gap under the keyboard, and the app recovers instead of freezing when a piece fails to load.

- Dark mode. The whole app now looks great in both light and dark themes.
- Redesigned Explore: a cleaner day strip with an All view, date dividers in the games feed, and worldwide games and leagues when there's nothing nearby yet.
- Livelier player photos. Your figure now pops out of the avatar frame across profiles, rosters and stacks.
- Easier game setup: a plain-language rules helper, a clear fee hint, scheduled games, and a cancel reason organizers can share.
- Smoother payments, with safeguards against double charges and clearer error messages.
- One share sheet for games, teams and communities.
- Faster launch and lots of stability fixes.
