We just want to play tennis. The process of making a reservation—which is all we need—is easy, but still worse than the previous interface where we play because you cannot see the entire grid. Good luck to you if you don’t get your court—or any court, if you play for two hours—on the first try, you won’t know what other courts are available. And no one needs a FB-style “profile” —or even a mobile phone!—to play tennis at a local tennis center. The only reason this software—which has been updated six of seven times just in the six weeks our location has forced us to use it, fixing bugs is great but it has more bugs than an entomology museum—gets two stars instead of one is that their “help” people are very responsive, very nice, and very clear in explaining things, and that matters. We just want to play tennis. No added benefits to what we experienced before we had to use this, a very easy reservation process (that’s a good thing!) that nevertheless is not as good as what our center had, shiny things that must have impressed the people in the offices who have never made (or taken) a reservation at 7am or miss out on courts…nothing but a stressful step backwards. We’re recreational tennis players. We just want to play tennis. Our weekly group is seriously considering going to play somewhere else…because of this software. Bells, whistles, profiles, ratings, requests—no, thank you, meaningless, useless, we just want to play tennis. ### 2/5 — Downgraded UI *2026-03-17* What happened? Until v4.0.6 the UI was nice, this latest version feels awful, the tabs have different UI between each other, where the Bookings screen feels like native but others feels like the UI was made for browser. ### 2/5 — very bad upgrade *2026-02-11* I dont like this newest upgrade - where everything is is now confusing, there are missing filters that i can’t use to find the specific sport i want, and even sending a message to get support is greyed out so I can’t even get help. the old version was so much better. they’re trying too hard with this one. debug this and add old features back. ### 1/5 — No respond on chat with us & inconsistent info with website *2025-07-21, version 3.0.32* The chat box never respond on the question, rather needed to calling the number but the booking already unavailable. Also the website offer different views and classes than the app. Not sure which should be reliable to trust. ### 1/5 — Overly ambitious but broken system *2025-07-06, version 3.0.29* Booked a pickleball lesson with Pickle Social Club in Malaysia for the first time. Payment processed successfully but pickleball court didn’t not have my class registration when I got to the court. No error message either. Learned from the court that some other customers experienced the same. Class was full so I could just go home and wait for the refund. Such a waste of my time. Would like to play while out of town for work but apparently the only way to play at a certain club is via this app… ### 1/5 — Not great for players *2025-04-19, version 3.0.24* Pros: the club I like uses it Cons: • There’s no calendar integration, if I book 5 cours at three locations I’ve got 15 go-backs before I can plan my week. It should auto populate like every other booking system in existence • no discovery. When I travel I use other apps and search by zip code. In fact, when I’m home I do the same. I’ll never find a new fun liveball with this app. I’ll just hunt down the ones I happen to hear about. • speaking of hunting - since we have to save the courts we use why not aggregate them all into a calendar so it doesn’t take me 10 minutes to find my preferred Tuesday game? I BEGGED my club to not switch to this app but apparently they’re cheaper for the clubs. I guess that’s good for them? Pretty miserable as a club member. ### 1/5 — Account disappeared *2025-03-28, version 3.0.23* Can’t login to account after credits are top up. ### 1/5 — Changing court times no help, frustrating. Should be simple. *2025-03-19* Our club has requested to change our court reservation times for weekends to be the same as weekdays. We made this request in February and still nothing. I would think this would be a simple change. Our club members are frustrated because the app is still not updated and now we look bad as a club because we announced the change in court times but members can’t book for the new times. ### 1/5 — Dreadful interface for players *2025-01-29, version 3.0.20* A bunch of places are using this app for booking and they’re always my last choice for liveball - mostly because I am loathe to use this app. I take no pleasure in writing a review that is a 100% negative, but I’m hopeful that if any of my other clubs are thinking about using this app, it will make them rethink what the member experience is. Or maybe the makers will consider the players needs. PROS: the workouts I like are on here. CONS: - NO CALENDAR INTEGRATION. This is insane. Have any of the people who built this thing tried using it in their personal lives? I only use it to book free things because it costs me too much to pay for missed classes & without a calendar integration it’s happened to me too many times. - The default to a grid of photos of classes is ridiculous. It adds three steps and endless scrolling since each address has its own “club” - I’m only able to book one thing at a time and after that I have to back out of two screens. Are we in beta or is this the best we can hope for? - I’m not bothered by people seeing my first and last name when I sign up for a group class but you might be. If you are bothered by this may I suggest using a pseudonym? - There are no addresses for saved clubs so it’s entirely possible to book a court in West Hollywood and not know which park you are headed to. - Perhaps with some help this app could work better for me, but is it a good app if the users require training? My answer to that is no. - I have found three different Liveball workouts that I am extremely loyal to through the MINDBODY app. since there is no discovery here I don’t see that happening for me. I can’t register for anything at my local facility. ### 1/5 — Not as user friendly as other apps! *2025-01-14* I was made to change from one very very easy app that had everything the Jr. Tennis Clinic my son was taking on it: parent info portion, player info portion, easy to see others in your association, connect with others in your association, easy to book, easy to have individual chats and group chats, etc. to this “newer” app and it’s just not user friendly at all! Almost EVERY parent has had issues with it and we were told to call the owner/app developer if we had issues…. No one should have to call an app creator because you have issues… if you do, let alone almost every parent then your app is confusing and NOT user friendly. I’m so disappointed our association is forced to use this app. The old app was easy peasy and this one is frustrating! ### 1/5 — Careful when you sign up for events or clinics *2025-01-08* If something comes up and you have to cancel, you lose your money. Also, why do I need to contact the club directly to cancel a reservation? This makes it so hard for users to get a credit or refund, especially when it’s raining and the reservation has to be rescheduled or cancelled. Insists on updating your profile when booking a court even with a complete profile. Support is an AI agent which cannot provide specific feedback to assist in fixing a problem. Messaging has a flaw causing a fuzxy stripe in the middle of the screen.
