Autrement dit, si vous « téléchargez » des MP3 via YouTube, c’est ce qu’il vous faut pour libérer de l’espace sur votre IPhone. Les commandes sur la montre sont assez intuitives et faciles à manipuler malgré la petite taille de l’écran. Le temps de transfert sur la montre peut être un peu long si vous uploadez trop de morceaux a la fois. Pensez juste à garder votre montre au poignet tout au long du processus, car si elle tombe en veille ou se verrouille pendant le transfert, il faudra tout recommencer… Le seul bémol et ce n’était pas clair pour moi avant d’obtenir cette app, c’est que vous ne pouvez pas écouter la musique sur votre IPhone (juste sur votre montre). La seule chose que vous pouvez faire à partir de votre iPhone, c’est uploader la musique sur votre montre. Si par exemple vous recherchez une app qui synchronise localement votre musique sur votre IPhone et votre Apple Watch tout en vous permettant de permuter l’écoute sur l’un ou l’autre, alors cette app n’est pas faite pour vous. ### 3/5 — Not quite there *2026-07-25* The app works well until it doesn’t and is a bit incoherent. It perpetually says transferring even for tracks transferred. Some tracks just won’t transfer for no given reason or error. Please make a watch version that doesn’t require iPhone and can reliably transfer from a local network drive that requires authentication. The phone app is the problem and Apple doesn’t allow installation of the Player app by family members to the watch directly. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t work for video from ios photos *2026-05-03* I’m trying to transfer a 500MB video from ios photos app, and it never transfers to the watch, even when the loading circle stops, nothing shows on the watch. Even using the compression function to get it down to less than 200MB, the video still will not transfer to the watch, even after 48 hours. Transferring the same file via a Mac through the files interface for an iphone in finder, does work. ### 4/5 — Playlist sorting *2026-02-26* Great app. But please make it possible to sort songs in the playlist manually. ### 3/5 — Lacks folder support *2026-02-01* Almost there! I have lots of music on my watch. Couldn’t be happier. I really dislike having to add mp3s to the Apple Music app then transfer them to the music app on the watch. Simply too many steps. This Player for Watch app is amazing game changer. I can transfer music from my Dropbox and google drive to the app, then let the app move it to my watch. Transfer is fast and stable. The app on the watch is simple and has big buttons to hit while exercising. It also integrates with the workout app on the watch—left swipe brings up the music player and the controls there will change songs playing on this app. I haven’t tested the video yet. The files are stored right on the watch’s memory so that you aren’t tethered to your phone. Using Google Drive I was able to upload my favorite files to the Watch Player app without any issues. Only encountered one small issue on the video playback to which the developer’s support was very responsive. And if that wasn’t enough, at four bucks this was the best bargain that I have ever gotten in the Apple Store. No monthly subscription charges, no ads, no nagging pop ups for upgrades.
