Can’t use the app it you can’t sign in! ### 1/5 — Useless *2020-10-18, version 8.0.6* YMCA Northpark in FTW uses this platform for soccer program. It’s horrible. Hard to navigate. Search field does not pull up coaches name. Had to search for program first and THEN search for Coach. Always opens a new window to another useless page. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t match website *2020-08-26, version 8.0.5* This app is useless for me because it doesn’t match information on the PlayerSpace website. The website is trash as well. Not sure who gave this website or app the green light. It is so clunky and non intuitive. I have no clue who these people even are! Also very difficult to upload a picture. Only thing that’s easy is switching thru the different screens of the app. Everything after that is terrible unfortunately. ### 1/5 — Lacks Features *2020-02-15, version 7.0.9* Our local YMCA uses this app for schedule and communications. 1. It would be really useful if the map opened up apple/google maps. I can’t even copy the address from the app to then add manually. 2. No ability to share the schedule with another person. For example it would be nice to share a game time and the location with a grandparent via the built in share icon on the iPhone. Let me choose how to share. 3. I uploaded a photo to my profile and it appeared to share the photo to the entire team. That is crazy! I do not understand why so little work and thought goes into making an app. Put more effort into making something that is useful. ### 1/5 — Yikes *2020-01-07, version 7.0.9* This app is so frustrating. This app offers NO notifications when schedules are added/updated or for communication. Having to check the app everyday (or multiple times per day) to ensure I haven’t missed a message or schedule update is ridiculous. That is a very basic and necessary function that any sports scheduling app should offer. Wish our team would switch to a more functional platform. ### 1/5 — Horrible App. *2019-07-16, version 7.0.1* Horrible App. Not user friendly at all. ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever! Developers give the run around. *2019-07-05, version 7.0.1* My daughter’s camp is using this app for communication. However, I have yet to receive a notification from the camp. I have informed the counselors and they have attempted to contact the app developers to only be given the run around on how they can’t fix the bugs. I hope next year we go back to a different app or I will be going to a different camp. ### 1/5 — Worst team management app *2019-06-08, version 6.6.5* With my sons’ teams, I’ve experienced using several different sports management apps and this is by far the worst. Sometimes I get notifications when there’s a message posted, but most of the time no notification. There’s no way to rsvp for attendance at games or practice. I haven’t found a way to sync the team schedule to my calendar. Please fix this! ### 1/5 — Fix the punctuation! *2019-04-26, version 6.6.3* Messages are completely trash! Punctuation has some sort of program language showing instead of actual punctuation. Been this way for years. Get it together you foreign developers! New update just came out, y’all did nothing to fix it. Here’s an example of what an apostrophe (‘) does. you’re Break out an English dictionary and educate yourselves you numb skulls! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Eh *2026-07-22, version 8.9.0* Needs a way better interface. I should be able to access the waivers and emergency contact page on the same app. Instead I have to go to my child’s profile just to actually get to the page where I can access all of that which basically takes you to a different area. This is also where I access my profile and account settings so it just doesn’t make sense. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2026-03-14, version 8.9.0* This app is awful for organizing sports. Cannot message team or post pictures, no notification settings available. Just useless! ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-12-11, version 8.9.0* 0 stars. Nothing happens when I try to log in. Delete. ### 1/5 — I hate this app *2024-10-02, version 8.9.0* It is not intuitive or user friendly at all. Then when you end up being non compliant, because the app doesn’t make sense for its users! You get kicked out of the activity and have to figure it out. Navigating the pages and getting to where I need to go should not be this challenging. Doesn’t seem like it was made for hand held devices. ### 1/5 — Not intuitive *2024-05-10, version 8.9.0* I have no clue what I’m supposed to do. Even basic layout is just not there. It does not align with what my account shows using an internet browser. Can't pull up schedules, can't update my account info, can't add my youngest child. Extremely buggy too. ### 1/5 — DO NOT SEND MESSAGES WITH APP *2022-09-10, version 8.9.0* I just wrote the perfect short and sweet email to my team using this app and the app said it was sent… did not send, did not save, and now I don’t remember what I wrote. The reason I use the app is for convenience of sending quick messages to parents. This allows me to get the thoughts out of my head. Playerspace has totally failed me. If someone posts to the wire it will be on the app but not the website or vise versa. Would not recommend. Unfortunately this is what the YMCA has decided to use so I am stuck with it. ## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great App *2019-06-22, version 7.0.0* Player Space is a great app for families to make forms electronic (and not have to fill them out for every league, swim session, day camp, etc). We also launched electronic sign in and out that makes checking in and out faster for families in programs like Kids Club and Day Camp. Player Space has been very responsive with upgrades and technical support and they are great to work with! ### 5/5 — I Love Playerspace!! *2019-06-19, version 7.0.0* As an athletic director who has been using Playerspace for about 5 years, this program is constantly improving. They value customer feedback, and they know what we need when it comes to programming. This app is a great way to support the overall software through ease of access, quick find, and makes team management a breeze. I suggest using the platform online before using the app to gain better understanding of what can be offered, but with prior knowledge of the platform, this is a great application and consistent way to reach the teams! ### 5/5 — Great platform *2018-12-05, version 6.5.1* PlayerSpace has been great for the our sports program. PlayerSpace has made it easy for us to assign instructors their classes, have swim instructors check off skills, and for us to communicate last minute details to our parents. The experience is less than desirable in a digital age. User nav is ok but the layouts and capabilities that a parent or coach can do are very limited.
