You can increase the speed of the videos when you access the direct Playeur website. It feels cheap, small, and bare bones. I also don’t see any options to upload, if this platform hopes to compete with yt, it needs more features. There isn’t even an option to have an actual password, I need to use a code to log in. Please add more features to the mobile version. I feel like this platform might someday have a chance of competing with yt, but it needs a lot of updates and features first. ### 3/5 — No landscape mode *2023-02-03, version 1.0.23* You can’t watch videos in landscape mode. Seriously? The app is fine in most other aspects, although there isn’t a dedicated settings page beyond notification management. From the app I can neither watch live broadcasts or type in the live chat. This really takes away from the engagement with live people. I have a long list of suggestions, but let’s focus on these, first: 1) The settings won’t open. Ios safari says, “too many redirects “ 2) I can’t watch videos in landscape mode. This makes landscape format videos too small to see. 3) Searching and navigating is arduous. So much that I become frustrated and quit trying sooner and sooner. Spend five minutes on any other app and try this one again. Layout and UI are very user friendly and easy to use while also being a effective tool. Discovery feed is actually helpful for finding new channels. This is the app YouTube wish it had. The company is transparent in their business model and it looks really creator friendly. There are a couple of downsides; one major and one minor. The major: The total content is small despite the site/app being over 2 years old. The company has not started open publishing yet (it is in their plans) and it’s honestly a shame. It’s understandable as this is no small investment for the company and they want channels they know will bring in viewers, yet they also need that new content that will keep those viewers as well. Personally I think they should open the stream for content. The minor: there is one video that is on my feed that crashes the app every time I try to watch it. Just that one, not any other. I have no idea why. ### 5/5 — Blown away with the updates! *2022-03-25* Update: the new player is dope! I’m always afraid of fomo, and this is the real deal. So I downloaded this a few months ago, lost it and just downloaded it again. Somebody wrote this is like YT, I dunno what YT they watching as this is a gazillion miles ahead! I know this is going to blow up the internet sooner than later and It makes a whole lotta sense how they’ve integrated all those features. Anyway installed seamlessly, no bugs so far, fingers crossed, let’s make content! ### 5/5 — Nice! *2022-02-26, version 1.0.17* Very cool app! It gives you a chance to show off your skills or gameplay that you really wanted to share within the community. YouTube, your videos will never be seen unless the algorithms decides about it. Utreon, your video will play and it will be placed as featured video on the homepage. You can also get traffic from Utreon that can help you build a foundation around your YouTube channel and Utreon channel. The devs are pumping out improvements like crazy, and seem very open to feedback.
