Do you use the Music app? Then... Remove Duplicates ================ Do you have playlists that contain duplicates or same songs from multiple artists? Music Tools will detect and remove these duplicates without the need for iTunes. The process of removing songs detects duplicates and do preselect duplicate songs for deletion. You can adjust the preselection of songs to suit your needs. The song removal process creates a new playlist that does not contain duplicate songs. Import songs =========== If you have an Apple Music subscription and need to add lots of songs, use the feature to import songs into Music. Songs can be imported from selected text from any application using the Share function. Or from a text file (.txt extension) in any of your applications. Each song title (+ artist name) must be on one line. The song import process looks for a song title in Apple Music service. For each song title, it selects one match and offers other possible songs. After you checking the search, enter the name of the new playlist and start the import process. I opened the app, selected the offending playlist, and it highlighted all the duplicates, and offered to create a new playlist without the dupes. In other words it does exactly what it claims to. Very well. I’ve no idea why apple don’t have this functionality built in, but this has saved me the hassle of having to set it all up in iTunes 👍👍 ### 5/5 — It works!! *2024-05-28* I’m glad I actually didn’t get ripped off. And Apple Music never lets you know you are duplicating it (why, Apple, why?). This tool solves the problem. No more duplicates of a song IN THE SAME PLAYLIST. Works perfectly creating a duplicate of the playlist without the duplicates. Apple Music already has a tool for deleting duplicates in the music library. This app solves the problem with playlists. Doesn’t delete or remove duplicate songs. It takes a playlist in which you may have added a duplicate song to and then this app scans it and makes a new playlist with just unique songs no dupes. For someone that just wants to remove duplicates from their music library permanently it doesn’t do that.
