This app appears to be listed as “PlayMemories,” but it is not the official Sony application. Sony discontinued PlayMemories Mobile and replaced it with Imaging Edge Mobile, which is the correct and supported app for Sony cameras such as the A7 III.

If you are trying to connect a Sony camera wirelessly, download Imaging Edge Mobile instead. That is the official Sony app.

This app is utter rubbish - I just donated $50 to find out how rubbish it really is!! Does not handle RAW out of camera, if you are shooting RAW (as everyone does) it does not handle files from camera. I’ve no chance of getting a refund as it’s a faceless company. But that’s me being conned for the last time in 2025 - do not touch!!!!!

I purchased the service; however when I tried to inport all photos, I noticed some photos the app could not import. And it take very long time to import 1 photo. Would recommend havi mng a sd reader than using this app.

This app is fake. Download imaging edge instead. That’s the correct Sony app. This app will pretend to work with your camera and work at first but then it will start trying to rope you into a subscription and not allow you to transfer photos at all.

他の方も書いてますが、SONYのビデオカメラからデータ転属する際に以前はこのアプリの名前だったのだと思いますが、今は同じ名前の全く違うアプリです。
日本語の表記もおかしいので、怪しかったのですが、写真ダウンロードするためには課金が必須なのでご注意下さい。

After transferring one time, the app will ask for a subscription payment before transferring again. You can bypass this by reinstalling the app each time you want to transfer. It’s a massive pain, but if you select all the images instead of one at a time, you won’t need to deal with too much hassle.
